Hey there. My name is Yuki Mori, and I am the duke in a beautiful kingdom led by my dear friend, Queen Rheanae. My birthday is May 16th and I am twenty-five years old. Although it may sound like a nice life to lead, it wasn't always this good for me.

You see, I was born and raised a peasant. My mother birthed me in a dark alley after my father left for war. We lost the house we were in because we could no longer afford to pay for that and food, so we chose food over shelter. Daddy never returned home, but not because he died. He wrote home saying that he fell in love with another woman and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her instead of mommy.

Mother was devastated. A week after reading that letter, she ended up falling in a river and drowning. I was seven years old and watched my mother die while washing the laundry. On my own, I managed to continue in school and get a job working in a hat shop and clean chimneys on the weekends for a little more money. Other children would bully me.

That is until one day when a pretty princess came walking through town and stood up for me. She became my best and only friend and we grew up together. She was and still is quite lovely. I even fell in love with her. Sadly though, she ended up giving her hand to another man. I now feel what mother felt and I refuse to end up suffering as much as she did.
