It does this sometimes. I get stuck in an area. I can't leave the area and the only way to fix it is to wait for the server to refresh.

You have to speak with whoever is standing at the dice icon. Usually a barton town guard. Just ask for freebie in the dialogue options.

Every area (Zen Gardens, Bill's Ranch, etc.) has a freebie. It's usually the dice icon on the map. There's also the big wheel in Barton Town. You can collect them all once a day.
