once a leprechaun...
Out of sight out of mind, yep, that’s me. Who ever
came up with the idea that their were no female
leprechauns anyway? Just because we are not in any
myth or legend does not prove our non-existence, though
through my experience mortals tend to be sorely mixed
up in their account of things; and besides we have
been seen but are primarily mistaken as dryads or
fairies. how? I don’t know for we are not fairies,
don’t look like fairies, don’t act like fairies, not
fairies!
Just like Navi here she’s technically not a fairy
ether, she’s a pixie; she appeared one day while I was
helping this beautiful vine of poison ivy to grow.
(For that’s our talent unlike our shoe loving, gold
hording others, we have useful magic we can make
things grow) though our magic is limited I mean we
could never grow an oak; and why would we want too? No
fun in that. We are in charge of the little stuff. I
still have yet to figure out why the others, (fairies)
hate weeds so much; some of them are really quite
lovely.
However my specialty is poison ivy. That’s how I got
my name or nickname rather (Ivy) my real name is more
of a feeling than a word so… Ivy.
Any way Navi just appeared not a word, just poof,
follows me around with her irritating bright light
getting herself wrapped up into my affairs; sigh… I
tried trapping her in poison ivy once; I missed and
ended up with this horrible oozing rash for a week.
I mean honestly she acts as if she’s the one stuck
with me.
