Class Double S Criminal and the world's most wanted criminal, Ragna the Bloodedge is the infamous criminal to the Norvus Orbis Librarium for sabotage and insurgence.
Trained by the beastkin Jubei, and one of the Six Heroes of lore, Ragna was able to master the power of the Azure Grimoire. Ragna has since travelled the world weilding Bloodedge's Bloodscythe and sabotaging the NOL's bases from city to city.
Being trained by Jubei and possessing the Azure Grimoire, Ragna the Bloodedge may be viewed as among the world's most powerful beings.

• Bloodscythe: The Blade of Rebellion
The blade of the unsung hero, Bloodedge. The Bloodscythe is Ragna’s prime weaponry. The blade utilizes and exudes dark matter energy converted from seither with life-stealing capabilities. In its initial form, it appears as a cleaver-type great sword. Upon awakening its true power, it takes form of a scythe with a crimson energy blade. The life-stealing capabilities of the Bloodscythe aids to compensate for Ragna’s innate weakness for defense, making a rush-down offense being also the best defense.
• BlazBlue: Codex of the Azure
The Azure Grimoire, also known as the strongest grimoire as it can commune with and utilize the powers of the Azure, the powers of the Boundary itself. Not actually being in form of a tome, the Azure Grimoire is actually a saturated form of seither in par of that with the Black Beast. In Ragna’s case, it takes form of his right arm, with powers channeled and converging from the ‘bracelet’ of his hand. BlazBlue itself remains dormant until the recitation of the incantation that awakens the grimoire, and the activation of the dimensional interference field. Though dormant, Ragna utilizes the grimoire’s life-steal capabilities for combat. When awakened, the grimoire manifests the powers of the Azure and granting Ragna the following advantages: Augmented drive projections and abilities; augmented physical capabilities; augmented speed and movement; enhanced Life-steal capabilities
However, due Ragna's grimoire being a prototype, it is able to channel only a proportionate amount of the azure.
• Idea Engine: Conduit of the True Azure
A mechanism originally used by Lambda, to which Ragna would absorb and make use of. The Idea Engine is a more powerful variant of an artificial causality phenomenon weapon, a non-magical imitation of Nox Nyctores which relies on atomic power rather than seither. This allows Idea Engine to bypass a dimensional interference field deployment negation, allowing not only access to the Azure but also tapping to the azure in its truest form when in tandem use with the Azure Grimoire.
