When the crypt doors creak
And the tombstones quake
Spooks come out for a singing wake
Happy haunts materialize
And begin to vocalize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

Now don't close your eyes
And don't try to hide
Or a silly spook may sit by your side
Shrouded in a daft disguise
They pretend to terrorize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

As the moon climbs high o'er dead oak tree
Spooks arrive for the midnight spree
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes
Start to shriek and harmonize
Grim grinning ghosts come out socialize

When you hear the knell of a requiem bell
Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell
Restles bones etherealize
Rise as spooks of every size

Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

Phantom Manor plot you asked for:

Story
Ravenswood Manor was the former residence of Henry and Martha Ravenswood. Henry Ravenswood was the rich owner of the Thunder Mesa Mining Co. and the patriarch of one of the Thunder Mesa founder’s families. When gold was found in Big Thunder Mountain, the small town of Thunder Mesa became the center of attention. Henry Ravenswood used his money to build a mansion on a hill. From that mansion, he could overlook the whole town. His mansion was furnished in a style of the end of the nineteenth century with Persian carpets, Dutch and American furniture, Brussel’s lace, and English silverware and porcelain.

In the year of 1860, a huge earthquake hit Thunder Mesa. Henry and Martha Ravenswood were killed in this earthquake. You can find their graves on Boothill cemetery, which is located next to the mansion. This earthquake caused an explosion in The Big Thunder mine, just like an ancient Indian malediction announced. The legend says that a thunderbird protects the mountain and that the bird would get angry when people would plunder the mountain. The wing’s beating of the angry bird would provoke an earthquake.

Henry Ravenswood had a beautiful young daughter named Melanie and he was very proud on her. When Melanie fell in love, her lover proposed to her. Melanie’s fiancé was planning on taking Melanie away from Thunder Mesa. When Henry heard that, he was furious and he would do anything to let it not happen. On the wedding day, Melanie’s fiancé never appeared. Melanie’s heart broke and she isolated herself for the rest of her life. Did Henry manage to prevent the fiancé from arriving, even from beyond his grave? People say Melanie never left the mansion, but some claim they have seen a woman in wedding dress behind the windows of the mansion late at night. Nobody was able to say if Melanie was still alive, but the townspeople where to scared to investigate, and they stated to call this supposed haunted mansion “Phantom Manor”.

Finally, Ravenswood’s domestics opened the Manor to tell their story. They said they have been terrorized by the spirits of the Manor and in particular by a harmful ghost. People think that this ghost is Henry Ravenswood in person and that he kept Melanie in the Manor until her death. The Manor is now open to all of those who dare to face the fury of the Phantom, but beware! In his harmful fury, he always tries to scare the guests of the house to death, while Melanie’s ghost seems to try to protect them from his anger. Maybe someday, someone will be able to explain what really happened. If this is the case, then maybe the souls of the dear missing persons from Thunder Mesa who always haunt the Manor, can then rest in peace…
