No I meant, what would you call what your relationship to religion? "That of respect" may be more accurate than what I named as "pride."

What would you call it, then?

I don't mind talking about any religion, so long as it doesn't seem like someone's putting it on other people. In better terms, I like talking about it objectively and with no emotion/feelings attached.

I'm not opposed to most religions as far as beliefs and practices are concerned, so long as individuals keep it to themselves. Overall, I respect you for taking pride in your religion especially since I do not, even if it does seem like you're pushing it a bit.

I was simply asking because I couldn't understand why you felt that was the most important thing to share about yourself. It comes from the fact that I find it very offensive when people display their religion in such a manner, so I wanted to understand your motivations and perhaps what it was like for you.

I concede that you are right that 1. you don't care and 2. your beliefs are yours and you're free to express them as you wish. I was simply wondering what the motivation to having that up was all about.
I did not mean to imply anything else further than that, and that I admit my own lack of knowledge in Christianity, or about religion in general.

I will not debate on the meaning of the "practice what you preach part" but I will state it was not intended for you to take it that way.

May I just say, regardless of beliefs, you have a very interesting mind.

Yes, it allows people to tell other about who they are. But devoting a profile entirely to one's religion seems a bit unorthodox.

Why do you feel like you have to display your religious beliefs instead of waiting for opportunities when individuals bring it up?
I wonder if it's because you like to call attention to it, and to yourself.

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around,
looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a
strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, "Jesus is watching

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze.

When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself a
vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light on and began searching
for more valuables.

Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a
bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you."

Freaked out, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of
the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest
on a parrot. Did you say that?" he hissed at the parrot.

"Yep," the parrot confessed, then squawked, "I'm just trying to warn you."

The burglar relaxed. "Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?"

"Moses," replied the bird.

"Moses?" the burglar laughed.. "What kind of people would name a bird Moses?"

"The kind of people that would name a Rottweiler Jesus."
