"I'm youth. I'm joy. I'm a little bird that has broken out of the egg." -J.M. Barrie
Hello. I tend to be called Domi for the simple fact that it's easier to remember. I, personally, strive on big dreams and silly fantasies about how life should be. While I know everything I imagine may not even come true, it's comforting to know those dreams will always be there. I'm sixteen years old and far different than most normal sixteen year olds. While I may act like a child, I also have a much older side of me. That side tends to show more, I find. Disagree if you wish, this is my thought. In my spare time, I enjoy writing stories (whether I finish them or not). I enjoy listening to jazz, big band, swing, classical music, and theatrical music. But I also listen to so-called "normal" music like various indie bands, Lady Gaga, and acoustic artists of the sorts. I look for art, music, and film in everyday life. I like art deco architecture and fashion most people would consider hideous. I have a passion for music. I sing, I write lyrics, and I make sad attempts at playing the beautiful instrument known as piano. I watch cult classic films, such as The Labyrinth and Interview With A Vampire. My favorite films are most always fairy tales like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Alice In Wonderland, Alice being my favorite movie. I have a fascination with the "Jazz Era", or as more well known as "The Roaring 20's". My favorite arts in life mostly began in that time. I have a love for well written literature and I love when people write properly. What I mean by writing properly is proper grammar and sentence structure. While I may slip up my grammar every now and again, I almost always make sure my writing is correct. I also hate the use of text talk. While I will talk to you if you use it, I find it makes people seem more intelligent if they don't use it. Not that a person's unintelligent for doing so, I just feel that grammar and spelling speaks very highly of a person. In my life, I've come to understand that no one is better than anyone. Whether one person is more popular than the other, we all came into this world in the same way and in all basicality, we're all going out in the same way. People are different, yet all the same. Human beings should not be criticized for being who they are. It's a shame that this is the world we live in today. If the human heart just made more room for love and less for hate, the world would be far better off. But this is like asking for no summertime in Florida. It's less likely to happen than an albino giraffe. In all honesty, I'm not a huge fan of America. While I understand we're a free country, the cultural aspect of Europe is fabulous for a girl like me. America has its positives, Europe has its negatives, but when I'm older, I will more than likely be living in Europe. If my being bothers you, I apologize. If you find that we'd get along great let's chat. In all honesty, I think I'm a pretty nice person. I talk to anyone. I try not to look down anyone unless they give me reason to. So, give me a chance and I'll return the favor.
