There are days I just get pissed and my blood pressure goes up just thinking about what I gotta reply to, but then I remember why i'm there and things are good again. Plus positive posts are a HUGE help -even the stuff that's as simple as "this thread is bless."

That, and remembering that i'm doing this for:
- the people who are reading and might want to share, but feel like they're being invalidated by the very people who have no buisness being there.
- Those who feel they're going to be shut down by racists for the 127122211236th time
- For my own sake. I've been through both being fetishized and "disqualified" and when peoples' reality gets denied this much on this level I feel like it amounts to gaslighting. That and i'll be honest, it feels good to shake up people who think or feel they can come into marginalized issues just to circlejerk. If it makes them think twice? Awesome.

- Abouve all, needing to feel like this thread can be safe enough for hesitant people to join in.

And yeah I don't blame you, it's not easy going back and forth between FB and here, especially when you come back to here to read the occasional post that just makes you wanna headdesk forever. ugh. Still, that your thread exists is a piece of justice in the world. Aside from that, that quote? That gets all of my yes and then some, with some yes please on the side cause damn, it explains that kind of crazymaking in a way that just can't be misunderstood -even by the most unwilling of opposition. Plus it could be a subject entirely on it's own.

Obviously. But there's chance they haven't been open to the idea because they still don't understand what it is. At least the people severely misreading what we say. In that case, once they actually understand what's being said, we can argue their actual objections instead of them constructing straw men and circle jerking because they think we are writing in moonspeak.

As a topical note, Black Wing has consistently been writing around grade level five, while the two of us have been spitting out senior in high school or higher. This probably accounts for at least some of the "talking past me" stuff that has been happening. I'm not trying to say he's a dummy, but people typically can't produce sentences above their own knowledge level.(certainly not with the ease necessary to respond quickly on a forum). And his scores are also the average for the other people not understanding us. I'd say we need to get it down to 4-6th grade level for it to be easily accessible. dFor them to be able to absorb the information, think on it, and respond.d

That guy is just irritating and frustrating. I have no idea why I even bothered to post in it . I'm already aware of how dishonest he'll be. cat_stressed

I was taking my intermediate ASL class, but I decided I just can't do two more courses of ASL so I've changed my language to French. I'm starting that in the fall. I got a summer job though. 10 dollars an hour, full time. cat_3nodding It'll cover rent and I'll send have extra to save for when we move in November!
