I was actually refering to those "meet-ups" that they once had a forum for.
I think they had a different name, but what they did was essentially say:
"Here's a forum guys. Use it to find people that live close by you and organize get-togethers of your own, because we're kinda lazy, there are too many of you and we find this much simpler."
I remember trying to get a few Edmonton people to get together, and I think I got at least 6-7 people to respond, but it never got anywhere because I was the only one actually organizing such an event and, well... I was a bit busy at that moment. xD

Oh, I just saw your thread about that new shop thing and read it a little. You made a reference to WEM, which made me assume you were from Edmonton xD
But yeah.
Quite rare we find any Edmontonians (let alone Albertans) here on Gaia xD

I agree about your thread, ive been on gaia since 2004 and ive seen how this website changed -.- i dont like it either, they dont realise how it unfair. their activities are in the usa and now their making a shop that only us peoples can go too? Even if we can get them in FM, they just doesnt realise how it unfair, i though it used to be international like they said so, but as far of what ive seen it mostly for them. What the point making it international if they can't make any of their fun things with us or any others peoples from other contries.
