My name's Nick Burkhardt. I happen to be a homicide detective in Portland, Oregon, that discovers that I'm also a descendent from a line of Grimms, which are hunters who fight supernatural forces. I have exceptional ability to make quick and accurate deductions about the motivations and pasts of individuals

I do at struggle to maintain balance with my normal life and my Grimm life at times with both tending to cross when I work cases that involve Wesen, the creatures of the Grimm world.

I happen to originally from Rhinebeck, New York where my parents were thought to have died in an automobile collision in 1994 when I was twelve-years-old.
