The winter after i turned five was the first on with unnatural desices. we lost pa and the twins, and almost ma and the baby. with pa gone money got tighter but we got by. ma also changed she distend her self from us. she gave all that she could and tryed darn hard not to make us mad. the sriping Timathy (named for pa)turned two and got his name. the guard came and took ma away from us. they said she'd been spreedin' uprising. she was hung a month later. we were placed in an orphanage. but that didn't even last a year.
