My name is Elyse, and I am currently 21 years old. I am attending SouthWestern College and work as a pre-school teacher. I hope to get married in a few years and hopefully have children in the future. I speak English and French, and want to learn Chinese and Japanese someday. I have 26 penpals from 15 different countries. They are from Taiwan, Australia, Egypt, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Czechoslavakia, Russia, Austria, Jordan, Portugal, United Arab Emirates, Germany and Turkey. Cool, huh? I love the world, and am very cultural. I want to get to know people from the world, which is kinda hard since I have Social Anxiety Disorder. I am pleased to announce I am a sponsor for a child in Uganda, Africa. For privacy reasons, I refuse to post his photo online, but I would love to share him with you. My child's name is Ivan, and he lives in a predominantly AIDS ridden village in Uganda. He is 7 years old and has one sister and one brother. Lucky for him, his parents are still alive. My sponsorship will help Ivan go to school, recieve medical care, gain access to clean water and nutritious food, and learn about AIDS prevention. I am so blessed to have Ivan in my life, and I can't wait to share any new developments with my friends on Gaia.
