Letter to an Old Friend
Dear, Lucifer Veneziano
I know you may never receive this letter, but know that I miss you, son. It's been a long time coming for this letter to be written. I was told just a few days ago that you had passed. It saddens me, and has torn me within. I pray that you did not go out like your mother did; by your own hand. I still had yet too see you all grown up with a true family like ours by your side. The Verscotch as it was formerly called prior to allegations being made in such a fashion. Then it became Veneziano under protest from what I hear. Lord Sylus came by for a visit quite a time ago. Told me of what had happened at your hands. He raised you right he did. He raised a true warrior, a leader....better than I ever could have. A lot has changed around here you know? With your mother passing, I have had guests. Guests all which have taken a permanent residency here as part of the Valerio family. A family that I wish you could've taken part in. Something that was truly yours. I could imagine it now, Prince Lucifer Valerio, fitting. Remember that old manor we had? It's been torn down, with something much more majestic, and elegant has been built over top of where it once stood. A castle. A castle of Peace, War, Fury, and Happiness. The village surrounding us looks to us as the protectors. The Guardians of another Day.
I will say more in my next letter too you. Rest well my son, for you are loved.
