College. Yes.. that will be a new step. I think you may be ready. It is better than many of the alternatives. Plus, it can help you a lot in life if you ever make plans. It is a good start to try and do I'd think. Though... The work will be.... Mayhaps overwhelming. But I think it may be worth it. But, take this break as time not to look ahead and dread it. Just look at the now and relax. It isn't here now. And that is good. No need to get all stressed. D:
Haven't heard of them. Except The Kangaroo one. Slightly. x'D Ah, I have plans there hopefully. And, yes, I do plan an adventure there. ^^ ~
I think it may depend on the different home-school techniques per-person. For me, It is a lot less pressured. Though, if I don't do something right, or if I do not do it,. I have the chance that I can get grounded from internet and games. But not as stressing as normal school. I'm happy I don't have to drag home a backpack weighing just about the same as me now. X_x
My ma is hurting, as usual. She gets worse when summer is here because of all the storms that come here. But she is alright... just... Somewhat disheartened. Though, joking still helps. What child can say they have a zombie cyborg for a mother? xD I can.

The rain is nice. I also like it when it has thunder and lightning. So pretty... But I know what you mean. Especially when there are plans, or sometimes can make the day seem slower and less lively.
