so I'm reading AAA which is by Haruka Fukushima, the same artist/author as Instant Teen and I must say...it's a bit less than satisfactory. The art is at least much better. The story is a bit thin though and some scenarios make zero sense. The heroine is kinda weak too. She doesn't really have many strong points for being the student council president aside from always being helpless and in constant need of being saved. Thank goodness I have Maid sama to read to help me remember that SOME people can actually take care of themselves. There are funny moments. For some of the translations, what the girl says is really rude. I'd wanna smack her for being so naive and overly clueless and narrow minded.

You are probably wondering why I keep reading even though I have pretty much nothing but complaints...it's because I don't totally hate it. At least not yet or far enough to stop reading. I get curious and wonder if it'll get better or just turn out awful. Either way...I have to see how it ends. Heh heh For some reason I thought maybe you'd listen to my rants...I'll stop if they bother you.

I finished a series that I had the first volume for Instant Teen: just add nuts (Otona Ni Nuts) and I was never more glad I didn't buy the rest of the series. I was so furious with the heroine. She was so selfish and clueless! I mean she is in the 6th grade and just eating these special nuts turns her into a 16/18 year old in body but her mind is still that of a child. BUT just some of the things that are said and done by her are just plain irritating! I needed to see if she got any smarter or more selfless but, nope. Disappointed. I had to read to the end though. All I wanted to see was Asuma as an "adult" but that never happened. Was a little angry about that. SO in conclusion, DON'T read this unless you feel like yelling at a fictional character to go out and fix her personality b/c she has got to be most clueless, self-absorbed, stupid, little girl who thinks she's an "adult" just b/c her body is! Those wasted hours!!!! GAH!!!!

have you read Natsumi Ando's other stories? Wild Damon is HILARIOUS!!! I can't stop laughing!!! Hahahaha!!! XD

I'm still reading Kitchen Princess and it's so good! I was so sad about Sora! I actually might have cried...it was just so sad!! I get too emotional over things like that...even though I know it isn't real. You know the artist and author has done their job when they can evoke real emotion.

i just discovered Kitchen Princess was drawn by Natsumi Ando who also did Zodiac P.I. which I have!! It's so cute already!! Thanks for telling me about it!

is that being translated by shojobeat? YOU should look into Maid sama (kaicho wa sama) It's hilarious and very interesting! I have read the scans to a certain point and am actually collecting the manga (tokyopop) b/c i love it so much! usually I don't if i've read the scans but maid sama is just too good!
