HOW TO PREVENT A HACKER FROM HACKING YOU
The best way to keep hackers from hacing your account is..
1- dont give ur password
2- change ur pass about every month
3- b4 u log into gaia make sure it IS the gaiaonline URL, if it says something else other than gaiaonline.com, but it looks like the gaia homepage, DONT log on! its a password stealer.
4-if your already loged onto gaia, and you click a hidden url like "vote for me in the avi arena click here!" and it seems to have logged you out, LOOK AT THE URL! and make sure its Gaiaonline, if not, X out the window.
5-if you do find someone trying to hack people by using hidden url's report them immediately!!!!
6-if you get a message saying its supposedly from "ADMIN" and its asking for your pass, ITS NOT ADMIN!!! DONT GIVE UR PASS TO HIM!!! Report them immediately!!!
trust me on these, ive had #6 happen to me, and i was to stupid and i gave my pass.... and i lost about 20k in items... and ive seen all of those things happen, i almost got hacked again, by entering my pass in a hidden url, but when it didnt take me to my gaia, i knew somethig was wrong, so i got back on gaia as fast as possible, and changed my pass like 5 times just to be safe. and luckily for me, nothing was taken from me. and at that time i just got my OMFG hat, so i was super worried it would get taken from me...
KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!! and you will be safe.
