If Hyoubu shows up often, I might just watch the whole series to see that character. I think he is great whee
You should absolutely rewatch Full metal alchemist. I was told it's a really good series. Some anime are worth it being rewatched. 3nodding (others ... probably not so much xd ).
I've recently rewatched the Disney movie Wreck it Ralph and I have not regretted it whee
Oh my biggrin does that mean you play dnd? I have a friend who does and sometimes she tells me about her original characters and it's always so nice to hear about them. I feel like those dnd adventures could make up a really nice book or graphic novel.
Yay @ your hubby painting the parts you don't enjoy painting too much. biggrin You two are a good team!
Mmmh that spice cake sounds nice biggrin . Most likely it was yummier than the original. I hope you write your modified recipes down so you can make them again in the future. whee (at least I am sure I would forget what I had changed over time and then feel disappointed I am unable to recreate it)
biggrin Oh my, so many great ideas. I was thinking about making the chickpeas into a pasta sauce. But I did not have the cheese and the shops were closed that day so in the end I turned them into a curry. (I do have more - unopened- cans of chickpeas at home so maybe I can gradually try all the suggestions) blaugh
How did your chocolate chip banana pancakes turn out? biggrin Did you love them? I never had any before but they sure sound like everybody would love them.
I hope you have a great day!! whee
PS: What a pretty avi biggrin
O.O You watched all of Zettai Karen Children? Does Hyoubu show up a lot in those episodes? I've only watched the first episode I believe (and then I got sidetracked and didn't continue xd ). I'm happy to hear you watched Romantic Killer and Ascendance of a bookworm (and even read the manga after heart )
I believe the closest I ever did to building model kits was either trying to paint a hand full of warhammer figurines or building a revell model ship (HMS Victory) when I was around 19 years old? ( xd both needed soooo much focus because of the tiny little details, and I never really felt like "I'm gonna do another one!" after xd . I think I'm not patient enough)
xd xd Mimiiii crying xd I failed. It really was WAAAY too much syrup for the cake (You are right, I should have watched youtube videos of the process). It kind of feels and tastes like cookie dough with whipping cream on top xd (It wasn't like that after baking - I even did the toothpick test to check it was baked well enough) Dang it xd . Next time I look for a video.
For now my next challenge is to come up with a dish that uses chickpeas (because the cake needed the water that came with the chickpeas, and I would not want the latter to go to waste). :O maybe I'll just make them into a curry? biggrin What would you make out of a can of chickpeas?
Ohhh I've been told that Shangri-La and My Happy Marriage are good animes. And I did even watch the first season of Dr. Stone myself whee
I'm currently watching: Welcome to Japan Ms Elf / I'm a noble on the brink of ruin so I might as well try mastering magic / and From Bureaucrat to Villainess. But Animes I could always watch are for example: Romantic Killer, Ascendance of a bookworm (this made me read all the light novels after) and The Unlimited Hyoubu Kyousuke. biggrin have you ever watched any of those?
(Slightly rainy weather is perfect to stay inside and bundle up with a blanket, a good book or show and a warm cup of tea. heart )
I hope that one day you will see Italy in person and love it whee . Have you ever tried profiteroles? they are soooo yummy to me. heart
I am impressed by your really long and really well balanced list of hobbies. It makes me realize I should really find some more hobbies for myself. biggrin The most surprising on your list was making gundam models. biggrin I would have never guessed. biggrin Did you know there is a big moving gundam statue in Japan? I think you would like to see that one.
Mimiiiiii xd the part about the food hat me so close to drooling. This sounds so delicious~ all of it! The loaded fries, the gumbo heart (I gotta admit the first time i heard about this dish was when I watched the Disney movie the princess and the frog and since then I wanted to try it. Thank god I got a recipe for a veggie gumbo from a dear friend or else I would probably be longing for this delicious mystery dish for all my life blaugh ), the sweet deserts and treats. Oh my, If I was living in your neighborhood I'd be asking if I can take cooking classes from you. whee
xd I really think I could use some cooking classes. I followed a tres leches recipe yesterday and I think something went wrong. xd There is a step where you need to let the cake soak up some kind of milk syrup while letting it rest in the fridge ... but for some reason it seems to be way too much syrup for the cake. sweatdrop ... I wonder how that's going to turn out once it's done. eek ninja xd Oh no. I guess I'll at least learn from mistakes then. biggrin
Sounds like you have your clothes organized very well biggrin . When it comes to my clothes I usually only sort them by into types <- I always just put the freshly washed things on top or hang them on the right hand side; this way it becomes obvious which clothes I wear often and which clothes I don't wear a lot.
Oh yes, I do like feeling the texture of wool before I buy it. biggrin If I don't buy it online then I even touch it with my wrist to check if it would feel scratchy when worn.
(I do believe the "Woll Butt" has butt in its name because it's being sold by a place named "Buttinette" It's an online shop for handicraft items (which was the only place where I was able to find the thick kind of wool I needed to use in my tiny little knitting loom - at a reasonable price)
biggrin I couldn't agree more. Kikis delivery service is such a nice movie. Are you currently watching any anime? Or is there one you like a lot?
10 - 100 F is already a rather big range of temperatures. eek . But it does feel like we have a somewhat similar one biggrin . We also only get around ~ 130 rainy days per year.
xd Mimi, is it evil of me that the part "I also know people pickle garlic cloves and eat them" made me think: " eek I think they are protecting themselves against vampires!!!" (Although if there were vampires, I'd much rather want to befriend one instead - that's what I wanted to do when I was a child after all xd )
biggrin Cooool! You are part Italian!! Did you ever go visit Italy? Italy isn't toooo far form where I live, so when I get there (which is probably once every 2-4 years) I like to buy a lot of pesto and antipasti.
Knitting, gardening, cooking - Mimi you have great and extremely useful hobbies biggrin !!
I have a lot of dishes I like very much. biggrin some are extremely simple like putting potatos into aluminum foil and preparing them in a campfire heart . But I also like Potato soup, potato dumplings with gravy, loaded fries, potato goulash, potato salad, ... uhm xd at this point I should probably mention that I like potatos very very much blaugh - but I also like pretzels, curry, fried rice, salads and looots of other things - but what I really REALLY like is gumbo (okay I only ever ate the one I made by recipe; because sadly there isn't a restaurant here that has it on the menu).
biggrin What's your favorite dish?
biggrin biggrin Awww you make sweets for other people? That's so kind of you! What's the last one you made?
XD Ahh now I am feeling like I wanna eat something yet again. We have such yummy topics~
I'll try again in this comment. 3nodding
-> let's hope this works <-
I would never manage to do the same.
Ahh and that sparkly silver & pink scarf as well as the pink and green blanket are going to look so nice for sure. whee
( xd I tried looking up the slime colored yarn, but it looks like they don't sell this brand where I live. biggrin But that's okay. There are other brands available at least. 3nodding . The last one I bought had the name "Woll Butt and it made me snicker because my childish self was only focusing on the "butt" part blaugh )
OH MY biggrin I 100% understand why the sweater with the cat is your favorite. Cats are great, the colors are your favorite and Kikis delivery service is such a lovely anime. If I had one like that it would probably be my favorite sweater as well.
biggrin I think you are living in a warmer climate than I do. I live one continent further to the east (in Germany). We have all kinds of different weather. Especially April is famous for the weirdest mix of weather one can imagine. We really get days like in this video:
xd Mimiii, that cactus made me think of pickles. I don't really understand why it's called a peanut cactus.
heart oh yummy!! Now I know how to use sage more effectively biggrin thank you . I usually use mine for tea when I feel like I'm having a cold.
:O I see! I have seen garlic cloves in olive oil in the supermarket. It's usually where they sell the anitpasti. xd That's why I always assumed that people just eat a whole clove of garlic just like that as a snack. I did not know this was for conservation - and one is supposed to use it like fresh garlic while cooking. xd now I feel silly.
I get it. 3nodding I tried growing carrots on the balcony once before and it really did not work out well. The harvest was ... beyond mini. I also buy the carrots I need in the grocery store. (The cucumber I'm not sure about yet. It's the first time I'll ever try growing one. I bought a little plant because I was told never to grow cucumbers from seeds - because if they grow from seeds one might end up with bitter [and therefore poisonous] cucumbers eek )
biggrin Carnations sound delicious! (Way more than dandelions, because I remember those being very bitter - unless they are made into dandelion honey)
xd ah there we go. I am feeling like I want to eat something yet again. Our topics are just really delicious whee
Flowers I remember eating at least once: clover, daisies, tropaeolum, rose, common marigold and borage. I'm not sure if all of them grow in the US, but I bet most of them do. whee
And awww biggrin you really are thinking of making a pink colored scarf for yourself in the future? That is awesome! heart
biggrin How about you try making a sweater for yourself? They are warm and comfy. And maybe it's not as difficult to you if you just give it a try? whee
You really seem to have some strange weather at the moment. eek It's only gonna be 30 to 50 °F where I live this week. I guess the best you can do is wearing lots of layers in the morning, and then gradually take some off as it gets warmer and warmer. eek
blaugh I find your cactus very funny. Is it one of those ball shaped cacti? I've never heard of a cactus that grows sideways instead.
I love to hear that you are planting herbs biggrin - And it seems like we mostly go for the same herbs (sage, mint, lavender - but instead of rosemary and basil I usually add coriander, chives and garlic chives into the mix. I would also plant ramsons, but that one does not seem to like my balcony at all). herbs are great and especially sage and mint tea are so soothing when one is feeling like they are about to catch a cold.
Is sage used a lot for cooking when it's thanksgiving? We don't celebrate thanksgiving, so I am a little oblivious about its food and how to prepare it (other than: "people eat turkey and mashed potatos on that day" wink .
Ohhhh yummy! What a nice variety of vegetables and edible flowers. I think you pick your plants in a very good and smart way. biggrin (and I am getting hungry now after imagining a garden where all these delicious things are growing in).
I wanted to ask though: are all the carnations edible? I never knew they were edible biggrin . I like edible flowers the most. whee
May I ask you what you you are knitting? Is it a scarf maybe? I imagine it being a scarf in pastel pink colors smile . And next winter when everything is grey and dull you'll be wearing it and it will be a stark contrast to all the dull and grey colors outside - it will almost be radiating and beaming with color smile .
I hope you are having a very nice spring too. heart
(While I do not have a garden, I do plant things on my balcony. Yesterday I bought 10 strawberry plants which I will plant outside once I am sure the freezing temperatures are over. Also I am currently growing 12 tiny little tomato plants from seeds, which will go on the balcony as well).
What kind of plants are you going to plant this spring? heart
I'm sending you a big internet hug. emotion_hug
You are right, our loved who went ahead, they do want us to be happy and live our best life.
But at times when you feel like grieving, you're allowed to do it. You don't have to force yourself. What's important is that it's good for you at that moment and that it's making you feel better and not doing you any harm.
Stay strong Mimi. Sending you lots of energy and strength heart
