I joined in 2009.
I'm always on and off on gaia though, last time I went hiatus was on early 2021 and came back on last August.
Idk how long will I stay this time around. I'm primarily here to make avis, posting in forums as a side alternative.
I have discord servers (gaia servers included) to chat with as well.
Though I'm quite excited to see what Towns 3 is all about, as it is coming out really soon.
I hope it could be a place where people hangout again, other than the forums.
as I said, we're currently doing my favorite projects, residentials so it's ok!!
It's just that, there are times that I wish I had never picked this profession and instead pursued something else.
No, I won't. The fees are just too much lol
I heard you came back not too long ago!!!
what makes you remembered gaia
it was in senior year of highschool.
yo I actually chose architect because at the time idk what else I want to be.
so tbh I don't actually have a passion in this sad
my childhood dream was to be making video games, never went through bcs where I live doesnt have
academics that teaches well enough. So you need to go overseas but my parents didn't support that.
maybe said room was home to the soul of a dead guest??
or a dead family member of the owners perhaps??
spooky though, I had a similar experience like that but it wasn't at a hotel.
It was at a monastery on the mountains, my highschool was a catholic one so for our retreat on the first year we went there for a few days.
so there was a locked room in back of the toilet that was actually chained to prevent anyone opening it. I think it was like a janitor's closet.
the moment we approached it, we instantly felt something ominous so we stayed away from the toilet on that floor completely during the whole stay lol
during one night, my friends from another room heard there are shadows (seen from underneath the door) + footsteps walking back and forth infront of their room...
and I think also during the last days a friend of mine got possessed for a couple of seconds, we were playing cards in one of our bedroom on the floor.
he suddenly went erratic and pushed our friend next to him, we had to pin him down. luckily as I said, it was just for a couple of seconds and he passed out.
we went to tell our stories with the other friends inside the bus on our trip home.
ooo an escapee (that's what we called people in our uni who moved major from arch lol), how do you like it back then compared to when you were in arch? do you think it was worth it?
no such thing as being uncomfy, i'm prob one of the most chill person there is cool
fav project definitely housing, in particular those who requested/wanted a modern design.
I don't enjoy classical or traditional designs personally, I found them unappealing and the details are too complicated (cause you know, old structures and all that).
so I was on vacation with my family on a mountain trip (this happened when I was 9th grade)
dad rented one of those medium housing villas for us to stay for 3 days, 2 nights.
the house we rented gives a bad vibe from the get go when we entered the house.
We did what any other ppl would, exploring the place. the place has 2f, a bedroom upstairs and downstairs.
dad went up to 2f and suggested that we all js sleep together, he didn't mentioned why until later.
(he later said when we were on the car going back home on the final day; he felt like there's a presence there)
nothing happened on the first day but strange things happened on our second night.
that night, at around 2 or 3 am (I don't rememb exactly when but it was around that time for sure)
I woke up, It wasn't bc I had to pee or some kind of disturbance. It just happened and I wasn't feeling sleepy anymore.
Again, I was sleeping with everyone in my family in the bedroom but I was woken up alone.
get this, I'm a heavy sleeper at the time meaning I don't wake up easily. Especially bc it was a tiring day
as we were on vacation and had to visit many places.
I tried to get back to sleep but I couldn't so I laid down trying to, I didn't want to bother waking up my family either cs they were as tired as I was.
(I keep glancing at the clock all the time, trying to keep track of time or smth)
Not long after, while laying down, here's when it gets freaky wicky
The bedroom door's handle (which looked like this)
IT. GOT. PRESSED DOWN. one of the handle get pressed down really hard like when someone trying to put a really strong force.
with a slight push the door would've been opened. but it didn't...........
can u imagine what I felt....genuine fear and panic......
I saw no shadow behind those obscured glass door, no sound behind those door either.
I instantly tried to pretend I was sleeping while peeking thru. But the door handle kept getting pressed down but whatever
was on the other side of the door didn't push it open (thankfully).
After like a good 5 mins it let go and went to normal again, I DID NOT HEAR ANY footsteps.
I was spooked like mad and tried so hard to just fall asleep, and I did.
Next day was thankfully the 3rd day and we were packing up to go home as I told the story to my parents and they believed it.
Whilst we were packing, the door which lead from the kitchen to outside got slammed HARD. Not even a wind could slam it that hard.
Thank god we were on our way out of that haunted place.
I'm a self-employed architect! I have my own studio, so there's not really a set of time when to start working.
I'm more productive whenever it is around the time I woke up, could be in the morning or even night.
Just recently, I've been sleeping so late because of gaia really lol
(Unless I have to go and meet up with a client on a set time in the morning.)
yes, I believe there are ghosts!
I even had an encounter with an actual paranormal activity in the past.
