Yes, I will be able to support a family if I want. I pray this doesn't sound rude in any way, but reading your whole post and it ending in "familia" just made my night. I laughed so hard my girlfriend was asking me what I was doing, lol. Really it all depends on where I want to go with this. There are multiple different latters I can climb and become successful. But even if I don't make anything of myself I can still find something to make money off of.

The Guard is a branch of the Army. We're called the Weekend Warriors since we have training one weekend a month. We go to Basic and AIT like any other Army soldier and then we work for our state instead of the country. They also train us to help in case of an emergency. Like Katrina, the National Guard was sent out to handle that. Plus, they use us in times of war. If the President calls on an increase in soldiers we're the first to be sent out.

I can get a promotion simply by doing a little test known as the Stripes for Skills. It's a three part test. Physical, mental, and if we know our formations. I don't know what all it partakes of, but I bet I can do it more than once before Basic. If I pass it I'll go from an E-1 Private to an E-2 Private. Only difference is that and E-2 gets a symbol like any other position and is paid more.

Yep, I'm trying to get myself promoted before I go into Basic. I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy the Guard. And who knows, maybe I'll stay and maybe I'll go into a different military sect. Me and my girl are doing great! It's like God is smiling on me. Life is just great. How are you doing Mauri?

urgh i would but im seriously busy right now, iv just gotten another job so now im workin pretty much all day till 9pm, i havnt had a day off in over 4 weeks an im barely managing to get online to check my emails let alone anything else, im not gunna be able to take part in the contest sorry, if i get one for a few hours in the next few days ill try pming some other members to ask if they wanna do it.
