About
I've been on Gaia, off and on, for years. Currently, I'm a single college student studying to be an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, with the desire to teach abroad one day, most preferably in Japan. I posses two associate degrees, one of which is being turned into a bachelors for said career. The other I have is in Baking and Pastry arts, of which I do not use except for personal use. I go to school full time and work, so I have a busy schedule on my own. I also take care of my baby ferret, Orrick Von Litchenstein, and my fish and salamanders.I love to roleplay! I have been itching to get back into and have tried other sites, but it's not the same to me. I would prefer to roleplay with people closer to my age, or at least over 18, and have some sense of literacy and quality of writing. PM if you have any ideas for such things.
Small excerpt from my most recent RP:
"It had been awhile since her weary eyes rested upon the tall buildings of a city. In all reality though, she had never seen such tall and magnificent buildings in all her life. Where she grew up, a place long forgotten in her mind, was desolate and unforgiving, just as her parents had been. Being orphaned at a young age, only to be shunned by everyone because of her unusual talents in engineering, which she preferred to call tinkering, she was left utterly alone. Inside and out she was tormented by the harshness of the land she lived in, never able to make a friend. However, that is not entirely true, because she did have a friend, one that she would do everything and anything for. Her friend, Dashi, was her best friend, but she had had to create him. Currently, he rested in a side pouch that hung off her belt at her hip; he was lifeless, for now, until she could barter for another life crystal.
The cool breeze blew her choppy reddish pink hair around, tugging her hair from the loose braids. The red scarf around her neck, which held her tunic and was quite a bit long for her that served as a small dress, fluttered in the wind behind her. Her dark cinch belt held down most of her dress like tunic, while the hem flapped against her thighs that were covered in gold-ish tan leggings. Her hips, which were quite voluptuous for such a petite girl, had many pouches dangling from all sides, each carrying tools and spare parts from her work. Overall, she was short, standing at exactly five feet, but her body was robust from where she grew up and had goods to flaunt, if she were able to understand the concept. But alas! She was very shy of other humans and did not understand their relationships or mannerisms; she often studied them because of this lack of understanding and curiosity. She shifted her pack and Gearblade on her back and then sniffed the air; it smelled sweet and pungent, perhaps rain was coming. She shuddered for a slight second, realizing that there could be thunder to accompany the rain. Her pace quickened as she bee lined for the city of Ashville."
Excerpt from one of my older characters that I loved:
"The priestess looked up so that the woman could see her face; perhaps as a favor or to show her independence, either way Amuna revealed her face. She was vane, and as such, she believed everyone should be able to look upon her countenance, at least once in life. This made the Witch angry. “Stop trying to feed your ego, you know as well as I do, that your looks are only a gift from the god that favors you, for now. We are both equally beautiful, whether you want to admit that or not,” the Witch glowered. She tried to puncture Amuna's inflated ego by reminding her that she was still mortal and one day her looks would fade, if she could not complete the mission and excel to “goddess” in time. A chill ran down Amuna's spine at the horrible thought of dying a mortal and never being with her beloved god. The one and only whom had control of her heart and will. A shadow broke her train of thought for an instant; an owl had flown towards them and landed in the trees near them. Strange. An owl at this time of day, out in the open. She looked out into the distance from where it had flown out of the tree mass, some hundred yards away. She could not see anything move to cause the owl to come so far from the forest, but she couldn't be bothered with that now, there were other pressing matters to attend to.
The Witch hissed suddenly. “There's something talking with that woman, something not of this world. I am not familiar with this creature, but you need to be on your guard, for my sake. Remember, we both need your body to live.” She cackled. Her attention was drawn back to the soul of the girl; her oozing soul of lies and decay. “I must devour her essence, make her my sustenance, I cannot wait any longer!” Amuna yelled back at the Witch, “Stop it! You're acting like a monster that cannot contain it's lust. This girl is different and I intend to find out why before we devour her. She may be useful.” The Witch slunk back to her dark corner and watched with slanted eyes. Amuna, realizing that time does not stop for her petty arguments within her head, took a few steps in the direction of Azure and then turned back to the woman. “By the way, if you are coming this way as well, you are welcome to join me in walking there.” She smiled casually."
