Heh-heh, after years of butt-twitching waiting, I've updated Lucky Eyes! Mao and Tim centric chapter... It's... different.

Lol, that's exactly how I used to draw too, except my eyes looked more like footballs. My aunt is an artist, but I've never really tried anything based off of her style. She draws/paints people too, just like me. I started drawing in fifth grade, which is when my heads looked like triangles. My character sketches are somewhat better, usually depending on what I was intending when I drew the charecter. Sometimes they come out good, and other's are really bad, because I was just trying to get the main idea for a description in the story.

A few people ask me to show them how I draw so good- but then they usually skip the lesson, and just ask me to draw them something. Whenever teachers catch me drawing in the middle of class, they always ask me if I'm taking an art course. I learned to draw all on my own, which has a bonus, because that means I've developed a style all my own. I actually started drawing picutres of make-believe super heroes, with stats on who they are, what their power is, etc. They were pretty crappy at first- no one thought I was going to get any better at it. Now I make their jaws unlock when I show them my latest sketch- lol. I used other people's art work to get me started when I first got interested. Then I kinda took off from there. I've always been writing though. It was second nature, next to reading. I started writing poems, then songs, then finally short stories. I didn't start drawing till much later, though everyone tells me I should be an artist.

I wish I still had art class... my middle school has NOTHING. If I don't make up the names for my characters, I usually steal something based out of real life, and twist it into my own. I've never really had any proper art instruction. My last art teacher was awesome- she was just the kind of person who you expected to see when you think "art teacher," and she really loved what she was doing. Not many people love what they're doing these days, though it's not always their fault. I think I might become an art teacher one day- partially at least. Along with being a artist/writer/whatever-else. I haven't really decided yet.

Lol, yeah poking them in the eye is the first thing that comes to mind, but I'm to meek to do anything about it. That's probably why it gets messed up in the first place. I think character sketches are the most fun to draw, because it's like giving birth to a whole new person! It's one of my favorite parts of writing a book- the second it making up names for the characters. I don't like to give my characters common names- I usually want them to have some sort of uniqueness or meaning. So, usually, I just make up a random name. Character development can be pretty fun.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you the difference between an input device and website adress. I think my art style is a little backwards- I've started whole sketches from the eyes down. Have you ever had someone completely ruin some of your art? It drives me insane! They don't understand that you CANT redo it- and that what they just messed up was basically part of you. Idk- it just REALLY gets under my skin.

Yeah, oil is pretty time consuming- but it's so fun to mess around with combonations! I'm always drawing people, or at least parts of people. I'm not sure why, but I often find myself draw zoom-ins on human eyes... it's a bit random, but to me, the eyes are the most beautiful part of a person, and they can also be the center point. I have a scanner, so I probably could post my drawings, but I'm not too good with technology. Haven't gotten any further on any of my books really. Wrote a couple of things I've posted recently but they're pretty random. I think I'm going through another dry spot.

Hello again, I looked at some of your drawings (sorry I skimmed, there's just so many!). They're awesome! I left comments on a couple of them. I don't think I can draw that good... I only really draw people well. Which is a little backwards, because most everyone says people are the hardest things to draw. I haven't posted any of my drawings... I actually don't even know how to post them. I only really work with pencil, and I haven't really done much with oil or ink. I think your drawings are real awesome though!
