Sitting on his mighty throne,
He grumbled and picked at another bone,
Of his latest victim, his latest meal,
He looked as if he didnt feel,
He has no emotions to his face,
His eyes just wander about this place,
Searching for something, longing for something,
And I sit there, watching him, wanting to help him.
I see a smirk come across his face,
He signals for me to come to him,
My body freezes, and my heart begins to race.
I walk over to him, and sit by his side.
He raises a hand and I tried to hide,
But he did not strike me as I had feared,
His hand stroked my hair gently, my fright disappeared.
I learned that day, that he was not cruel,
Even though he made the strictest of rules,
He had a soft spot for the lonely, unwanted outcast.
And I, who had never been loved in the past,
Have finally found someone who loves me.
