Oh no, gomme is a French word. X'D Sorry. It's not that interesting now it's French is it?

Hebrew's believe in demons don't they? And angels? And nephilim?
I love all that religious mythology too. Love love love love~ heart

They were acurate with veins though, being "the rivers of the body" carrying energy to our limbs and organs. I suppose you can feel your heart. When adrenaline kicks in it's like your heart is reacting to falling in love, feeling frightened etc. So for them it seemed logical. The head was just a space that could be invaded by evil spirit's. :'D

300 is an awesome film. I like action films, but I'm also a horror fanatic. I like creepy and psychological thrillers also.

There's a book I want called "The Lesser Key of Solomon the King" and it's a guide on how to summon demons and what use they'll be to you. It's really interesting.

I remember the word for eraser. I think it's gomme. I just like the sound of that word, so I've remembered it. (:
Other than that I only know English and I occasionally talk in Pig Latin, but I don't think that counts, hahaha~

My ex knew Hebrew too, for the same reasons as you. I also like how it looks when writtten on a page. :'D
I'm not really religious or anything myself, but I'm really into demonology of all sorts. That's another of my interests.

One thing that the Egyptians made a mistake on, they thought the brain was close to useless. Hence why it was mashed about and drained out through the nose. Despite this, I'm actually quite keen on the idea of mummification. I wouldn't mind getting mummified.
Just close your own eyes if you'd ever have to poke someone's eyes in?

Yeah, Spartan's were pretty badass. They were also pretty fair to women also.
Women had a lot of rights compared to other classical worlds. 3nodding

I don't think I've ever seen Jepoardy. O:

I did make my shabti slave, but it was so malformed. I don't think it'll do me much good in the afterlife, to be fair ; 0;

I'm useless with languages. I had to learn French at school. I don't think it helped that I was forced to learn it. But I found it really difficult, even though it's not so different from our own language.
I've also never been interested in french fashion, french culture, french food ... so learning the language seemed pointless to me...
Saying that, my cousin has the "language gift". He works for the government and he knows like 16 languages fluently. O____o I just don't even know how ---

Embalmers could be crooked too, expecially to peasant folk. They'd rip them off and do dodgy work on the dead body. Obviously though, ridiculously poor people would just have to try and mummify family members themselves.

You know a person buried without all their limbs and physical parts would never be accepted in Paradise? If you'd lose a limb, they'd have to have it mummified as soon as possible, so it could be placed back with you when you died, otherwise you'd be doomed.

Faceless mummies were also denied Paradise. The body they presume to be Nefertiti has her face bashed in (after death). It's obvious she made some serious enemies to have had someone risk their live desecrating her body to condemn her. :O

I like both the Greek's and Romans. I do like the Romans for their sheer brutality. Perhaps "like" is the wrong word. I'm intruged by them ... (:
My Dad has always been interested in their politics and battles rather than religion, so he would sit me down and teach me about it. I used to be able to tell people where the Roman's conquered and on what dates etc, but I've forgotten most of it.

But yes, I understand what you mean! I love Egyptians because they have that magic with them. That mysticism.

Also, that sounds like a great sock.

I have this "How to Read Heiroglyphs" book. It's really long winded and complicated and he just sat down a few days each week for a few months doing all the activities and learning to recognise the sounds and names of characters. He found he was then able to put together words and such. He's not fluent or anything, but he was able to recognise specific names and sentences. 4laugh Haha I should ask him to talk in Egyptian to me~~~

And when your cat died, you'd also have to shave your eyebrows off. And that's never a good look. gonk
And I'm sure she'd be welcome in Paradise, being a cat and all, she can do NO WRONG. NO WRONG.

That sounds like a really nice way to spend a day! I have many books but I don't think I accumulated all the knowlegde from reading. I was absolutely OBSESSED as a child, so I've absorbed all sorts of information like a sponge. My Dad also forced me to learn about Roman's and Greek's too. (He also loves Ancient History).
I spent more time learning about Egyptian mythology than most things. I should have been learning more about maths User Image

My boyfriend has a better understanding of heiroglyphs than me. I can write my name and other little things,
but he was actually learning how to read it too. He's given up about now, so I might have a go at learning it myself.
Though I also would like to learn Latin fluently ...

Maybe one day you should give it a go! Immortalise your cat perhaps? ;D

Yes, I suppose he is bad and all. But I've always liked the antagonists for some reason! 4laugh
I also just love how creepy he looks with his curved snout.
It doesn't matter anyway, Horus gets his revenge.
Even Set's own son (Anubis - depending on what texts you read mind you) even helps Isis put Osiris back together to make an heir. ;0;
