*scowls darkly* Lately? Not often, if at all. I'll do what I can to communicate with the Sidhe and 'up there' but I'm not making any promises. Even a little less of a presence on their part is sure to help, if only a bit.

*sits up a bit more*....be careful Leonie.....thank you for keeping me updated, and for taking the Gracey case. You'll do fine both on the case and finding the party responsible for this mess. I have faith in you. Good luck.

I'll admit initially I was considering a Fae war, but when the anti-magic announcement came out I started thinking that it was far too time relevant. You just confirmed what I was thinking..the ready made packs should be evidence enough. We need to find out who orchestrated this witch hunt and why before things escalate beyond all control. The people and creatures being targeted aren't happy and the general public is terrified.. Leonie, we're sitting on a powder keg here. Find the person holding the match before we have a full-scale civil war on our hands.

*frowns*.......they wouldn't have......Research and preparation would have been needed to pull that off. Lots of research. Leonie...this isn't a normal witch hunt. When you're done at Gracey's I suggest you start reviewing facts behind this incident...the whole witch-hunt....preceeding events...everything...and consider looking high up. Very high up. And be careful.

Seeing his beloved lying there was not going to stop bothering him. He still was in a state of shock, even if Annabell had been dead for several hours. He really hoped Miss Barrow would be able to help.

"Yes, of course..." he said in the same flat tone, "I really do need to get out of this room. We can speak in my room, I suppose." So, he lead Miss Barrow out of this room and into his own bedroom.

"That is correct, I am not. I shall bring you to him immediately," the butler said. He led her upstairs to the scene of the crime. "Master, you have a visitor," he said.

Edward Gracey was still at the scene of the crime, sitting on the floor, beside the bed where his fiance's body was placed. He was an absolute wreck. His eyes were blood-shot and his face was streaked with tears. "Thank you, Ramsley..." he muttered, not looking up at the butler or Miss Barrow. He would have been downright embarrassed to be seen looking like this if he weren't emotionally drained at the moment. "Are you Miss Barrow? Officer Peters said you would be taking over for him..." he said flatly.

...no....no it doesn't....Tony Valente and his men are all on the inside, half the guards are on their payroll, the other half are mad at me for breaking Code Blue with the Valente case, and I'm sharing a cell block with at least nine other men I've had a direct hand in putting behind bars.

Edward Gracey for one. His fiancee was the victim. Nineteen year old white female killed between the 11:45 am and 12:15 pm. Her death was the result of internal trauma caused by broken bones and crushing of organs due to a super-tightened corset. The victim was expecting a child. I suspect the motive was related to her being pregnant before being married.

The maid and Gracey, two suspects, alibi'd out. Gracey was getting ready for the ceremony and then doing last minute preparations out in the garden, at least a ten minute fast walk from the front door of the mansion. The maid was in the garden from 11:50 to 12:15 when Gracey sent her to fetch the bride, who was late to the wedding. Also, the maid wasn't strong enough to tie the corset as tight as it was. Check my camera and notes for proof. Check their alibis against the wedding list I left with my kit if you'd like. The butler, Ramsley, did not. His alibi fell apart. Ask Gracey to show you the secret passages in his room, down to the servant quarters, and up to a hatch outside Annabel's room. Look for shoe prints and signs of disturbance. Try to see if you can match them to the clothing I've collected *referring to the clothes Gracey, Emma, and Ramsley were wearing when the murder occurred*

Careful, there's extra DNA and trace on the scene now thanks to Izualio Baker. I couldn't get a comp because he refused to not be a bat...hence my current situation....

When you've got the case clenched contact the Central City PD and tell them who you are and who to arrest. I know you can do this Leonie. Just connect the last few dots. You can get this b*****d.

It's already been checked, and the doctor has a safety catch in place for things like this. They'll be safe there. But right now....Leonie, right now I need you to take the Gracey-Harlow case. Please? It's just wrap up work. It's already mostly done, I promise. Please? *glances pleadingly at Leonie*

....turning myself in given what happened was the ethical thing to do and the only way to retain my credibility as an officer of the law. If I hadn't all of my past cases would have been investigated and possibly overturned....and.....if I hadn't I'd never be able to look Ivan in the face again, or to communicate with victims and their families. I'd have no right to do so. I broke the law threatening him with a deadly weapon and attempting to kill him with it, so I accepted responsibility for it after resigning from both the case and the force. You know it was the moral thing to do.
