Found your pharmacy thread, but didn't want to resurrect it
1. How long does it usually take until schooling is finished?
4 years. If you want to go into community, you take off from there. Hospital? 1 year residency. Industry or Academia? 1 year fellowship.
2. Is getting into pharmacy school difficult?
No...depending where you apply. If it is a top 30 school expect not to get in any lower than a 3.5GPA and must have higher than a 3.0 sGPA. Some decent schools ranging from 30-50 will take you with a GPA around 3.0.
3. Will I have to maintain all As in my classes or can I get by with As and Bs?
You can get by with As and Bs....good ratio is 4:3 so more As than Bs.
4. I am currently 20, is it too late to start?
Nope that's when I changed my mind. Entering P1 at 21 now.
5. What made you choose Pharmacy?
Did a lot of research ugrad for drug discovery and antibiotics. really love research, but wanted to see a direct connection to medicine. I want to be an a director of pharmacology doing clinical trial 1 and 2 at big pharma.
