Soft-spoken, Cloud comes across as aloof or disinterested, but the truth of the matter is that he's insecure. He joined ShinRa as an infantryman at the age of 15, his greatest desire is to join SOLDIER. By a stroke of luck Cloud befriends Zack on a mission and is 'taken under his wing'. Tends to be picked on by other Cadets for his small size, he makes up for his size with his speed.
