Neil Gaimen, The author of Coraline once said; " I often think that the greatest of human inventions is the common button."
Thousands of years ago, people wolked around with there clothes flapping open, so in many ways, though it is exseedingly simple, the button is indeed a useful invention that we would not fair well without.
So why is it that the man who made this wonderous invention remains nameless?
Koumpounophobia is the word that means fear of buttons. It isn't used alot because, well... it isn't very common. People who are afraid of buttons must live terrable lives seeinf as they are everywhere. It's simply irashinal to be afraid of a peace of plastic with 4 holes to draw a needle and thred through. Some people even make dolls with buttons, cute little dolls that make children smile. How could that scare any one...? Buttons take us back to our childhood and instill a smile on our faces... Well... Exsept for a small handfull of Koumpounophobes. And thats irrational isn't it?
To be scared... of buttons?
