I am a complex set of contradictions. My moods are likely to change day by day and with it my reaction to the world around me.

However, some things are set in stone:

• Honesty – I value honesty. I would rather have someone tell me the truth than to lie in order to keep peace. I pride myself on my own honesty.

• Loyalty – If I have given you my loyalty it will not be broken so long as it’s earned. Loyalty is a huge part of who I am. Despite this, I will not allow people to use this to walk all over me and others.

• Integrity – I believe in doing what’s right, against any and all odd and even when no one is looking.

• Faith – The faith in the good of the world can be difficult when so much cruelty exists. Even still, my belief that everything happens for a reason remains strong.

• Devotion – If you’ve earned my heart, expect me to give it fully and without reservation.

• Resilience/Willfulness – I don’t believe in giving up. No matter how bleak things can get, I refuse to give in.

Likes –

Knights:: The idealized version of this historical figure has always appealed to me. The idea of protecting the helpless and weakened, of integrity and honor and of standing resolute in the face of adversity stir my soul.

Black and Silver:: My two favorite colors, especially when combined. Black is sophisticated, elegant and mysterious. Silver brings to mind a cool winter night as the silver light of the moon shines down to brighten the world.

Night:: The night is a beautiful world that is often overlooked. The gentle, nostalgic howl of the wind and the silvery glow of the moon makes it a peaceful and soothing time to reflect and grow.

Moon:: The moon is majestic as it shines brightness onto an otherwise dark world. It shows that even darkness can be beautiful, and its gentle light is like a soothing balm.

Willow:: A graceful and elegant tree. It stands tall and proud and is resilient against most odds. It shelters and gives shade against the harsh sun.

Metaphysic:: There is so much more to the world than what meets the eyes.

Laughter:: Laughter can heal, it can spread joy to others and it is like a shield against the cruelties of life.

Dislikes –

Manipulation:: - I don’t tolerate people trying to manipulate me or those I cherish. To me, this is a betrayal. Depending on the severity, this could be a severance of friendship and affiliation.

Gaslighting:: - My thoughts, feelings and opinions are valid. Don’t try and convince me that what I feel and think is wrong. They may be different from others. This is fine. Accepting my thoughts doesn’t mean your own isn’t valid. It just means we have a different way of perceiving the world.

Emotional Manipulation:: - Just like regular manipulation, this won’t be tolerated. I am very empathetic. That doesn’t mean that my own feelings are less valuable than yours. It just means that I’m generally able to imagine the feelings of others as if I can personally feel those emotions. [Note: I do not in any way think that my empathy allows me to know the exact feelings and thoughts of others. No one can do that.]

Indirect confrontation:: - It is irritating when someone comes to me when they have an issue with one of my loved ones, especially my life mate. If you have an issue with them, do not come to me with your grievances. I will not be a middleman for others to start a confrontation with my loved ones. [Note: asking for advice on how to approach someone I know to have a direct conversation with them is not the same as someone unloading on me. I do not mind giving advice to help you start a discussion.]

For eleven years you have stood with me. You have been my inspiration, my most cherished friend, and the greatest blessing I could have ever hoped for. I could never put into words the full amount of devotion, joy and love I feel for you every day. You are my everything and I look forward to many more years with you.
