They call me Keezheekoni-Phuong, which means burning fire-phoenix. They call me this because I have a flame burning within me that never dies, and I am brave and loyal like that of the Phoenix. I like to journey to places known only in my dreams, which brings me to this poem called "Journey to an Unknown Place".
Standing at the edge of the forest
Looking up at the tall trees
Wondering what adventures lay in the shadows of its leaves.
Curiosity got the best of me
As I took my first steps into an unknown destiny
Walking a deserted path
Not knowing what mysteries lie in this enchanted dream
I walk, not knowing of where me feet guide me
I turn left,
I turn right,
Until i witness a most enchanting sight.
In the middle of this vast wood
Is a world that one can only imagine
Full of fairies, dragons, castles, and knights.
A fairytale in real life
Is what this place of dreams looks like.
Here is where I would like to stay
So this ends my journey
To an unknown place.
