exactly, and tbh even then i was more concerned about how rin would handle the "his shoulder is busted" news
THAT IS A NATURAL REACTION! Ai is a precious gift from above! his interactions with literally everyone are gold (Rin, Nagisa, and Momo interactions are best though)!
... that's beautiful and accurate and nagisa would just laugh it off while rei would be embarrassed but kind of flattered, yes perfect TTvTT

HUEHUEHUE yeah this is an on going dilemma buuuut i ultimately decided on mako/haru after sosuke got torpedoed into rin's list of boyfriends (that and mako/haru make me cry), but that three way can still happen yo! rin just needs to visit more often. idk why he had to join team australia (at least i think that's what happened) sad

yeah he didn't really pull of the angst well, and imo i think he was on roids because he yelled a lot but not in the emotionally compromised shark way. his crying in the shower scene was sad tho.
YESSS YESSSSSSSS COACH MAMAKOTO QvQ plus rei and ai becoming captains of their teams was cute too like this homo couldn't even swim last year and this other homo is an actual duckling but look at them now im TTvTT

but yeah like jeez he could've been lovable and i was sort of waiting for the moment where he'd go from "okay i guess, sorry about your shoulder" too "I LOVE YOU LIKE RIN LOVES YOU WEEH" but it didn't happen he blew it after being a douche to haru even after he swam the emotionally healing relay with samazuka =__= like come sosuke you saw the relay in season one you're supposed to be nice afterwards.
