Sonic Cry

The car ride home was quiet. What mattered to Sara was the fact that she was in the car with her Dad. She didn't get to see him enough, mostly because of what she does for a living. As they pulled up to the house, she sighed deeply. She knew that Laurel was going to have a field day with her. "Thanks Daddy." Leaning over to plant a kiss upon his cheek. Climbing out she waved watching him drive off. Heading over towards the steps to their family home. When the door opened, she received a look of shock not just from Laurel but their mother, Dinah was there too. Great... this day just keeps getting better and better. Being welcomed inside with two women welcoming her inside, asking her where she had been and what was going on. The day seemed like it would never end.

Mouthing the word 'oh'. Nodding her head just accepting that, as she started to turn to walk off. She heard her Dad call out to her that he'd drive her home. She didn't argue she just walked over to the car and climbed inside.

Sara leaned into the hug, hugging her Dad back. Not realizing how much she needed that hug. When his phone rang, she sat back and watched him say he'd report for work and tell her goodbye. Standing up to follow right after him, "Hey Dad? Can I go with you? I .. you know um.. I don't want.. I mean I don't want to be a burden or get in your way. I just." She didn't feel like being alone, being alone made her think of things that weren't safe.

"..." She didn't say anything at first. Didn't even acknowledge her father taking a seat beside her then. Feeling his eyes on her, she finally sighed but it didn't help relieve the pain she was feeling then. "He left me.. Oliver broke up with me and then he went off to try and do something stupid. He almost got his friends killed, because Oliver wanted to go after him....I tried to warn him. He didn't listen, he blew me off until he was blue in the face. Absolutely determined to get his revenge with Slade Wilson. But he wouldn't listen... he wouldn't listen... Because I tried to stop Oliver, he... banned me from seeing anyone related to the Queen family as well as with his business." A wry laugh escaped past her dried out lips, frowning in anger. "I'm dead to him... according to him, I did the worst thing ever.....I .. a good friend of mine and I saved him and the others.. but.. we're... " Tears began to stream down her cheeks again. "I don't think...." Unable to finish her train of thoughts as she continued to stare straight ahead into nothing.

Even after he had run off, she remained there in silence.

The following day.....

Sara was still in the same outfit, had not even gone home. She had just walked the neighborhood in a daze. Dark circles had started to form under eyes as sat along a park bench. Alone.

She didn't even look at him, she had this lifeless stare off somewhere else. Thinking she was at fault for bumping into someone she stood there waiting for them to walk past her, cuss her out whatever. Endless tears streaming down her cheeks. She did not even recognize who the voice nor the man that was speaking to her.

She wasn't in uniform when she heard a gunshot ricochet sound, echo off of several building structures in town. Sara had been walking along the sidewalk minding her own business. Her face was stained with mascara and tears, she had the expression of someone distraught and not really all there as she seemed to be walking endlessly. To no where in particular, exactly.

(( Oh not a whole lot. Oliver hates my _____ guts. You can fill in the blank there. I'm pretty sure I've been banned out of Arrow's team, by a recent life saving action done not just by me but by the actions of another. So I'm pretty much up that creek without a paddle. Oliver shifted some motions to get behind fire escape exit of a building avoiding the shots from Deadshot. However as he sat there he grabbed at his wound.

"Impeding? More like stopping." Arrow says thinking he has Deadshot down for the count before he raised his wrist sending his turret hurdling at the Arrow. Trying to dodge it, he failed as Oliver fell to his knees being impaled in the arm.

"Unless you want a arrow to your heart. I suggest you stop running." The Arrow's voice said in a harsh tone directing at Deadshot. Oliver swayed from the shots he fired at him. Rolling forward and upright on a knee and plucking another arrow aiming for Deadshot's leg.

The Arrow had been alerted by Sara of what happened. A hell bent, rage-running Oliver would have laced up his bow with an quickly strung arrow and just seconds before Deadshot fired the green hooded vigilante would fire an arrow aiming directly in the shoulder of the man who went by Lawton, Deadshot.
