Yes - all true. But the church was the only de facto government of the period following the fall of the Roman Empire in Europe over many centuries, and thus the local priest was involved in all phases of life. Many languages were in use, but Latin was the common factor. So, while actual trading might not include Latin, arranging to sell or to join a market, or locate one, might very well include Latin, and it was probably a rare trader who didn't know it to some degree (in Europe). Sry - am about to fall asleep in the keyboard - enjoyed the 2 links, read quite a few of the comments on the 1st one. Naptime!

Hi, jynx! I went to the Dev Meat from 5-7pm here, then have been mostly over on FB. Just saw the clock...was near 11 last time I looked, near 1:30 now. Got the rest of my meds today, finally, except the main 3. Prob Monday will get 2 more. Got 1 yesterday - am back on a dif antibiotic, and was much better in under 24 hours. But didn't get to pd at all the day just over and only chopped and did messages the 2 prev days. Also am scheduling irl activities, have a conference call and a mid-day mtg. tomorrow, but it's one of my 2 core groups, the 2 where I contribute to the listservs (Labor and CalWorks parents). So...am about to toddle off. If you ever want me and I am not here, you can comment me or send a pm to sdjx - I am the only one operating the clan mule account (dj). And I usually check in on both accts. daily. Finding your way around ok? Always okay to ask me questions if you want, or for directions to others. In the main, Gaians tend to be helpful (excluding many in Chatterbox, the virtual spaces of Towns, Rally, and Virtual Hollywood - those are a mixed bag.)
