That is a pretty epic wound. At leastyou have a story to tell, you know? I have this nasty looking cut across my ribcage from slipping on the stairs. That's... not really a good story. "Yeah, I'm really clumsy, check out this scar!" I want a bad-a** story, too. ._.

So what happened with the frostbite? Did it heal or do you have a scar or something? My uncle Francis ended up losing a joint off a finger once... I'm hoping it wasn't that bad. <_<;;;

Eh heh, practice! My vocal teacher is always hounding me on practicing everything to death. I get the point, but there is a growing number of songs that I cannot listen to anymore.... Mostly showtunes so that's okay. Do you take lessons or are you self-taught? It seems that most people just learn to play guitar and bass by themselves though there are some things... crap, I can't think of the name now... oh, the clip things you can put on the strings to change the key... guh. No idea is you would use them on a bass but, anyway. Lessons are nice. My vowels are so much better since I started seeing Tess. <3

Vowels being the only reason I can hit a high F without squeaking.... <_<;; Ever hear a soprano squeak on a high F? It is a horrible sound.

Music is great! I play bass (I try to play jazz and funk, but it's usually just a mess cause I'm not that great), and I love listening to just about any kind of music. I wish i had more artistic talent, but I have friends for that.

Oh my goodness, ouchies! Frostbite is nasty. What, pray tell, were you doing camping in a blizzard? As for climbing, the heights really don't bother you? At all?? Upright bass or bass guitar?
Hehe, there are times when I could handle having fewer arts kids friends. None so dramatic.

Do you do hardcore camping in the wilderness or more in a campsite? I do more of the latter, personally. Though I still laugh when my friend calls her house-in-the-woods a "cabin". If it has a washer and dryer, it's a house. Camping in a tent is fun, though. Used to do the summer camp thing... well, anyway. Video games! RPG (obviously) though I recently went on a Assassin's Creed binge. That was awesome. What do you play? Paintball is fun! I'm terrible at it but still fun. You are crazy to rock climb. How do the heights not bother you?!? Geh. I went to this place called Vertical Endeavors once. I think I got maybe twenty feet up and froze. That guy who liked to hang off the ceiling was just.... I mean, damn. And then they go out and do that s**t without ropes. Crazy.

As for me, similar basics. Reading, writing, video games. Anime is a big thing for me and Detour is the event I look forward to every year, even more than christmas or my birthday. I sing in two choirs and a small group and perform semi-regularly. Nothing special. I just like to sing. When I visit family in North Dakota I ride horses every chance I get. My horse was just retired but I kept one of her foals and we'll be breaking him in this summer. Still trying to decide whether I would prefer a gelding or a stallion. Honestly, I wish Ez had had more girls but, eh, I'll live. So I may have a stud on my hands. Oh, you might find this funny. My college fund was a herd of cattle. My parents both grew up on farms so even though I'm a city girl, I still know how to fix a fence, drive cattle, ride a horse. You know, the usual. xD

Beyond that, art in all it's myriad forms. Clay, especially, though dabbling in paint is fun, too. And... whatever catches my interest. wink

Haha, yeah, a little whiny. Kira mostly though the pink haired chick... I always forget her name. Yeah, she's a little crazy. Still, over all I enjoyed it but then I love melodrama. Just curious, have you gone to a con yet?

I have never seen Gurren Lagann though I will probably be picking it up at Detour in April. It's the one con I go to no matter what and a fun one at that. Not nearly so large as those in Cali, to be sure, but I prefer to be out of the crowds. *shrug* As for Trigun, that was wonderful! Trinity Blood I followed faithfully but I was quite ill when the final episode aired and missed it. That was definitely a FML moment. Well and so, I will see it next week when it arrives. Always nice to supplement my collection. It is a bit... ecclectic. I watch anything from Gundam to Princess Tutu, Wolf's Rain to Ghost in the Shell. So are my reading habits as well as my music collection.

If you don't mind me asking, are you new to anime? I mean, less than five years. It usually takes that long to make it through the mainstream delights and begin the descent to madness that is the Point-of-no-Return. When you hit titles that haven't been converted to English, then you know you are in trouble and irrevocably addicted.

I do indeed. It was the first serious anime I fell in love with. DBZ and Poke'mon don't really count, to me, nor does Magic Knights of Rayearth though I suppose it could be argued either way. Heh, I am at a loss to count how many friendships have been forged over the love of a story. What others do you count among your favorites?
