Ah, yeah. Well, then you get bored, try the Yogbox Mod pack. It adds a lot to the game.
New mobs, new ores, tamable/breedable horses, airships, and a bunch of other stuff.
Plus a rather helpful minimap.

And yeah, Endermen look interesting.
Honestly, though, the thing I'm most looking forward to is the new terrain generator.
Massive biomes with it, instead of going with 20 feet of forest, 20 feet of desert, then 20 feet of snow.

They're not server mods. The problem is that it's the RPG mod, which lets you have skill levels.
So it's wanting to make me chop wood slower and punch pigs weaker.

I'll just have to uninstall it, which I'd have to do anyway for 1.8.

Some of the mods I have installed seem to be clashing with a normal SMP server, but I was able to connect.

It's awfully finicky.
I hosted a local server just with a few friends at my house.
Took 4 hours to get working.
Hopefully you'll fare better than me.

I'll have to check it out in the morning, though.
