And woah, that's impressive. Dedication in one's craft is really admirable. I always wanted to draw, I mean I had a phase last summer. Got a drawing tablet. Did some decent stuff. You know, mostly face/hair/eyes. Did/watched a lot of tutorials and all...But then I went to anatomy and I wasn't built for drawing lmao. sweatdrop I'll stick to learning the art of writing lol.

What made you pick art? Was it just random or did something inspire you?

Ah so BlueSky is a little different because it is in chronological order, so you may be posting at times that your friends aren't online. Or perhaps they aren't active- BlueSky is still really new and I know people aren't on it as heavy as they are on Twit/Insta yet. I'm hoping that changes soon! Using keywords in posts (without a hashtag) works just as it does on Twitter, so if you make fanart for something, just saying the title is enough for it to show up under search. Example, if someone searches "Baldur's Gate" they will see my recent post there the day I post it because the post itself has those words in it. Hashtags aren't currently supported on BlueSky so using the # doesn't do anything for now! If they end up bringing hashtags in it won't matter anyhow, because the words themselves populate in search the same way.

If you want people to see your work, reposting (essentially retweeting) also works. Your repost will show up at the top of everyone's timeline. Just like Twitter, it's best to repost at least twice 8-12 hours apart the day you post a new piece. It helps people in different timezones see what they missed. I'd also recommend just commenting/linking your friends posts if you don't do so already, it helps remind people that you exist in the vast void of the internet (and vice versa LOL). If you want to gain a following in general I recommend looking at who your friends are following and join the ever-evolving circle of artists in the community! I used to spend hours looking at art, retweeting, commenting, liking etc on Twitter. Spending some time here and there to network can really help!! I haven't spent a lot of time on BlueSky yet but I really hope it can banish Twitter as it is eventually.
