She and her team were first seen, when the three of them were ordered by the Raikage to travel to Konoha to inform them that they would be taking care of Sasuke Uchiha and Akatsuki. In her first appearance, she was shown complaining of shoulder pain which, according to teammate Omoi, is caused by her large breasts. Samui made no retaliation, unlike Karui. She seems to be Kirabi's student along with the other two members of her team.
