About Myungsoo.
Born in Jeollabuk-do, Seoul; South Korea. In 1992, March 13th. Kim Myungsoo is my birth name, But nowadays I usually go by my stage name; L. My reason and meaning for having the stage name 'L' is because so many people around me told me my image/personality was much like the anime character from Death Note. I think having a stage name is a good thing for me. It's like having a different personality when you're around certain people. For me, I really enjoy being the person of "L" Does it seem weird to you that I'm saying such things? The reason for me to love this idea is because when I was known for being Myungsoo, it makes me think of the person my Mother wanted me to be the cold, mature guy. Yes I was forced to act as if nothing mattered my Mother wanted me to be strong and cold so my Younger Brother could learn from me. If do you do happen to chat with me, Please call me by L.
If there were a chance of me not completing my dream I would have aimed for becoming a photographer. I have alot of interest in taking beautiful shots of landscape and artistic photos of photos based on the face of someone. Not exactly like selca shots though. Lately I've been having an extreme interest in fashion. It never use to come to mind until now; Even though I was a model, because of this I've taken notice that i can never just buy one colour of a certain top, I usually have more than 3tops&hats that are identical but different colours. I personally think I have skill in hair designing. It's not like a personal hobby just a interest that's come to mind afew times.
Something that comes in mind for what is best on my body, In my opinion I have the best eyes out of all the members in INFINITE therefore I'd pick my eyes. I think other people enjoy my eyes aswell, They don't seem to care that i have a habit of staring into random space or when i just casually stare at them/people. If I wasn't allowed to pick my eyes I'm actually very confident that my butt comes in second place for what is the best body part. ^^
Before Debut
High school was very ordinary for me. Though I did get alot of girls gift many different items to me such as chocolate milk from school girls because they thought I was really good looking. It was kind of strange for me.. Because I was a quite person during school. Yet still being so but I usually didn't talk with anyone. Just sit and do all my work that was given to me. I was very shy, I didn't know how to express my feelings to girls when they gifted me items, watched me during sport competitions and try get my number. I would just give them a shy smile while they became embarrassed.
Though, even being a shy and quite person. My close friends would always tell me how 4D I was when I was around them. It seems so strange. I never really took notice of having a 4D personality though.
I was known as being a Ulzzang before debut and after. I was never a Ulzzang. Though i was rich paided during school for being a clothes and shopping mall model. Because of my looks i increased the clothes shops customers. You'd think because I was a clothing model my fashion would be amazing but it was just simple I loved wearing cargo pants with loose pockets and corduroy pants.
Alot of people have told me my face was made to be a model. Which sometimes makes me regret becoming a singer.
Because my dream was to become a singer I tried anything to get into an entertainment. I ended up getting signed up by a street casting. It was such an amazing feeling.
The word of me being trainee got around my school I went to. They didn't believe it at all and to be honest I'm not sure how it got around the school. When the rumor became big people were making rude comments such as “I won’t regret not getting in touch with him, even if he becomes some top star.”I didn't care because I was able to complete my dream while they couldn't/haven't/attempting.
About INFINITE and Myungsoo's relationship with them.
I'm a member of a 7 member South Korean boy group; INFINITE.(인피니트) Which is under the label; Woollim Entertainment. Whom also has the artist Epik High and Nell.
Lucky for my looks I got the role of being the group visual. Which is the face of the group.
We made our debut in 2010 with our song Come Back Again. Which is about an ex-girlfriend leaving his side and him wanting more of her telling her to come back into his life again. Most of our songs are related to an ex-girlfriend leaving a man's side. Maybe one day we'll change our comeback lyrics into a love song or something more meaningful.
We've had 4 Korean albums. First Invasion, Evolution, Over the Top and Infinitize. Releasing 8 music videos. "Come Back Again", "She's Back", "BTD (Before the Dawn)", "Nothing's Over", "Be Mine", "Paradise", "White Confession" ,"The Chaser".
