Geology, just as with any science, has so many different forms. I think that it should be perceived as a much greater science. The character I mentioned is into theoretical sciences. I personally like the show, I think it's cute and fun. It is sad though that they do put negative focus on a couple of things. It is a real popular show and has made science and geekdom into more of an accepted norm, so that alone is worth some praise. Haha.

That is truly amazing!! And another reason why I feel that the studies like geology should be much more widely accepted and praised. There can be more history in one tiny rock than an entire family history. Not that family history and whatnot is bad, but we can learn so much from the study of just the ground beneath us.

I am really happy for the way things are coming out for you! I've always held you in high regards it makes me excited and happy to know that you've found something to be this passionate about and are able to pursue it. To be able to take the negativity and turn it around into fuel is exactly what you needed to do!!! One day you're going to make some great discovery or something and I'm gonna scream out "THAT'S MY HYEHYE!!!!" xD

LOL!!! That reminds me of an episode of Big Bang Theory where Sheldon was going on about how geology wasn't a real science. It's just rocks! My gosh what can you get from some dirty old rocks! ...If only you knew!! Rocks are awesome and house so much history!!!

That is really amazing!!! I am so happy for you and proud of you!!! I am really sorry that you had to go through with that kind of negativity in school, that's horrible. But, I am so glad that you were able to overcome their words and find your true passion. It makes me so excited to see you doing what you want and to be so well passionate about it!!!!

A couple of years ago I had looked into going back to college and working towards something in the Astro field. It is something that I have interest in but I don't think I am passionate enough about it anymore to follow through with anything. I think that's my biggest problem these days. I've lost all of my passion towards things. I am kind of just drifting through life. I have no goals or dreams. I had gotten to a point where I was simply content with everything just as it was. For the past year, or two years I have been working for a couple friends. One is an author and I've been doing editing and cover designs for a couple of her books. The other is an artist and she owns an Etsy shop & goes to conventions selling her goods. I help her with crafting and selling. So, I guess I really do have two jobs but neither of them really pay. lol. I had a job interview yesterday at the local video store. I am supposed to hear back from them today if I can come in for another interview. The only drawback is that I have to dye my hair back to natural. Blegh. I don't know if you've seen any recent photographs of me but I've had teal hair for about a year. :3

Awwww!!!!!!! Well, that is so awesome that the both of you are into science and pursuing your dreams!!!

No! LOL!! Actually I find it very interesting. When I was younger I used to collect rocks & bones and I was really into studying them. I really wish I still had my old collection! There were so many nice little rocks and things. And critter bones! It was my secret stash while other people had booze under their bed I had that. LOL!!!!!!! Then I got into the stars. I became obsessed with that and wanted to be an astrogeologist. lol.
