Alright, thank you again. I was wondering, do you understand the Hamlet old English well or are you having trouble understanding like so many others?

You're welcome. And actually, I find Shakespearean English to be quite easy to understand. You see, I've been reading the Iliad in my free time, and while there are many cultural, mythological, and historical contexts with which I'm not familiar, I find that I have no problems understanding the language as long as I am provided sufficient notes to explain allusions and odd vocabulary. What about you?

...oh boy, just wait till you get to the part where Hamlet and Polonius talk. I love how Hamlet blows Polonius off with a nicely put, "Buzz, buzz." I laughed when I read that, it was so bizarrely funny. One could tell that Hamlet strongly dislikes Polonius; I imagine Polonius, the poor bugger, to look stiffly disdainful and slightly contemptuous towards Hamlet when speaking with him. (Damn, Polonius reminds me of Geranian Nestor. I hate Nestor. He's too didactic and loquacious in his speeches.)

Thank you so much for the items! biggrin Though I must admit I feel like I robbed you, ^^' Is there nothing you'd like from me? :O

You're welcome. Don't think of it as robbery, though--that only counts if you threatened me with a weapon, which you didn't. [/morbidhumor]

The mistakes of who?

As for my own presentation, thanks for the complements, and for not making my mistake seem minimal. At least it was interesting I suppose.

As for it and she mrgreen it actually isn't your opinion of them that shaped mine, it was the things they did. I noted during class that they were doing nothing but discussing things that were not on topic, I didn't want to say anything or get involved because it was frankly none of my business who did what. However, when it came down to crunch time, they were still as clueless as they had been the day before, which really solidified my dislike of them. If I ever do work with them, I mean I don't want to sound cocky and arrogant, but they will not get away with such behaviour. It's immature, irresponsible and not fit to be had in High School, no matter what their upringing. I don't know why, but for some reason the female's nonchalance about the whole thing angered me more than the boys. She acted like it was expected of someone else to do the work, and frankly that pissed me off.

Oh, the fanfiction that you read and claimed were so horrible you never wanted to speak of them ever again. *Grinning evilly*

You're welcome. I'm sorry I didn't laugh when you were giving your presentation; I actually thought it was a great ending, and I felt kind of sad that I was in too bad a mood to appreciate an honest attempt to turn an otherwise frightening topic into a more palatable one.

*Dryly* Yes, you want to know something funny? The girl with whom I had to work was also named Marisa. Oh, and I believe
this SA post sums up the full extent of her disdain for the assignment. That week, she had repeatedly said that she would be moving away soon (and not without a surprising amount of smug joy, either), so I think that must be why she treated the assignment so.

However, I feel a tad cheated by the fact that I had exerted most of the effort in the making of the project. They're probably going to get 33% of the credit too, so I might have to discuss this with Mr. Lunetta. I don't like the fact that I had unwittingly been taken advantage of; I find it hard to say no if I'm in a group and someone asks me to do something for the group. The fact that I had started out trying to be nice just makes me feel even dumber than before. And I, too, had noticed that none of my group members were doing anything besides socializing, but I was too cowardly and soft-hearted to speak up and ask them to work. I regret that now. Would that I could go back and demand that they actually do some work for once.

Sorry I couldn't go! I had to go shopping with my mom that day, you know with Thanksgiving and all coming up. xD
It sounded like fun too!

Yes, we've all made the same mistakes regarding fanfics at some point I'm sure. smile So don't feel too bad, at least you gleamed some sort of positive information. Most of the bad ones I read...*shiver* are really not worth repeating.

As for the "nitwits" (I use nitwit because I don't want to tempt myself to use a stronger word) Don't worry, I could see they did nothing from your presentation alone, I'm sure the teacher did too. You were giving the information that needed to be given as if you had read a few informative articles and then some, great information and excellent research. And I am NOT just saying this because I'm your friend, I actually liked yours better than my own. (What did you think of mine by the way? I never got the chance to ask sweatdrop ) Mine ended up coming off as more of a humorous topic that really didn't bare serious contemplation. My group members liked it, and commented on how funny it was. I thanked them, but I was really thinking about what a disservice I had done them, this was supposed to be serious! I kept telling myself, but I tend to try to loosen things up with humor when I'm nervous, and I'm afraid it came through. sweatdrop

Back to you though, it was obvious their lack of enthusiasm for the topic, so much so that I myself was interested when you were on, they were flipant, even ignorant of their own topic. And if it's one thing that will bring you down on a RESEARCH presentation is not knowing your stuff. I'm sure Mr. Lunetta agrees. smile Good that your lip curls, I myself will partake and endeavor to do my utmost to convincingly express my own dislike of them as well. mrgreen

*Grins* Sum up the mistakes, then. What were they all like, overall?

Your presentation was actually very amusing, not to mention informative. I especially liked how succinct and thorough it was, though I was in such a bad mood that even your dramatic end slipped by me. ^^; However, yes, I agree. While your acting was brilliant and wholly natural, it was also counterproductive because it trivialized the topic slightly. On the bright side, it was so interesting, I don't think most people would sit around and say, "Meh, I'm not interested." At the very least, they'll have a passing interest in finding out more about fetal alcohol syndrome. Great job!

As for the two people with whom I will try never to work again, I'm touched that you're equally angry over their idiocy, but please, don't let my own opinion of them affect how you see them! Just because I'm disappointed with their behavior doesn't mean they're going to act the same way if you were to work with them.

Good point, though. A research presentation requires that you know what you're discussing.
