During the first days on learning about Islam in the class, many of the students were really confused, and had misconceptions on Islam and the people. I didn't really have any because my dad taught English in Afghanistan during the 1970's for the peace corps. Which was a little bit back from when the Soviets invaded. I also went to a mosque with my dad twice. It was annoying to see how many people didn't understand Islam. My girlfriend who's Iranian (is not religious, but knows her stuff), was also in the class. I could see that she had a face which said that she was also annoyed.

You mean Islamdom and Christendom? Yeah, it is. During the middle ages, the Middle East was known as Islamdom to Europeans; and Europe was known as Christendom to people living in the Middle East.

Votaro is only repeating what he said to me earlier, and he says that "Thou shalt not kill" is an incorrect translation, as if no one in M&R did not know this. He complains about how things were in the ancient Near East, and yet he thinks morality is objective. That's silly. Now I will have some cheese with my wine.

Liberal how? Progressivism is included in both classical liberalism and neoliberalism. And just because you believe that conservatism is only accepted and not progressivism, doesn't mean that there is no Islamic sect which isn't. Take for example LilPokPoki. She is progressive and Iranian, but she is not socially conservative. Nor does she call herself a Muslim. So I highly doubt that everyone from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia are conservative.
