I know exactly what you mean on baking chocolate.
One day (during my bad chocoholic years) I was looking for chocolate, came across a huge container of it.
I grabbed a big spoon, scooped it up and took one bite - it was terrible.
I won't make that same mistake twice.

Just the same as I learned my lesson trying to eat raw cinnamon (before it became a dumb fad) and when I tried to sample pure vanilla (before I realized people drink it to get drunk.)

I'm not much of a fan of sweet sweets, probably why I prefer dark chocolate.
My preferred range of dark chocolate is anywhere from 75-85% dark.
I tried peanut brittle (dislike peanuts though) and its sweetness just makes me constantly thirsty.
But I haven't really been able to enjoy eating, since Christmas.
I've had an upset stomach since then, nonstop.

I'm still the same weight and same size, it's ridiculous.
I walk a ton, I don't really care for junk food, but I just tend to eat so much.

Yeah, we did.
The doctor said there was nothing wrong with it, but he asked if I had drank or eaten anything, and I had to list what all I had within 24 hours.
.......I ended up looking like a girl that eats like a sumo wrestler, and a complete liquid guzzler.
XD
I was like "I had a bowl of Cheerios, a glass of chocolate milk, a cup of juice..."
He just looked at me and the more I listed, the bigger his eyes got.
So he decided to just wait for me to finish listing, and was like "Okay, go home and consume these things that you have listed, and if anything causes you a problem, come back here to see me."
I had to eat and drink everything I listed, which kept turning out to be only caffeinated products causing the heart problems.
The doctor said something about it, I don't remember what, but he said I should only consume it in low doses, and to definitely keep me away from energy drinks.
Other than that, I have no heart problems, I like to go out and run or go for long walks, and I'm not seriously overweight.
(Only overweight by 20 pounds, but that's nothing.)

It doesn't really bother me, though.
Sodas kind of give me internal problems, so I don't drink them often.
I'm more of a milk, juice, and water person.

No, it just happened to me one day.
When my mom would come home from work, sometimes I'd have little drinks of her coffee, and then I'd drink my own coffee.
But I could also have any soda I wanted, and one time I drank two cans of Mountain Dew straight, with no problem.
Now, I can't have even half a can of Mountain Dew, or I shake all day long, but it doesn't make me hyper.
Coffee also gives me shakes, so I quit drinking it first, and then I quit drinking several types of sodas, because it also started to bother my heart, making it have irregular beats.
Also, when I have milkshakes from restaurants, those end up giving me irregular heart beats, so I just make my own milkshakes at home, any size I want and it causes no problem.
I definitely can't do energy shots, energy pills, or stuff loaded with caffeine, because it'd probably mess with my heart so much I'd have to go to the hospital, so I don't even feel tempted to try it out, no matter how tired I am.

Hm, I can't drink coffee.
Caffeine bothers my heart, and high amounts really make me shake so hard I can't read anything in my hands.

I don't get a lot of headaches, which is a good thing.
But I tend to give myself caffeine headaches.

Since I don't really take medicine unless I'm really sick, it has a stronger effect on me.
But sometimes, their effects are opposite of what they're supposed to do.
Like when I had my problems with wisdom teeth, I'd only have to take half of a low-dose pain pill and I was perfectly fine all day long.
Also if I get a headache (I rarely get headaches but when I do, it lasts all day) then I take half of one and it goes away quickly.
But for the opposite thing, it's the NyQuil Daytime and Nighttime stuff.
When I take the DayQuil, it makes me fall asleep very quickly, and I sleep anywhere from 4-6 hours straight.
For the NyQuil nighttime, if I take it, I just can't fall asleep even if it was almost midnight.
So when I was younger and my mom would try to give me NyQuil the night before, I'd be up and ready to play, although sick.
Then one time she wanted me to take DayQuil so we could go to the hospital, but she left the room to get ready, and I fell asleep on the couch in under half an hour.
So eventually we got it figured out, NyQuil makes me energetic, and DayQuil knocks me flat out.

So you're being pampered, eh?
Is there room for two, or three?
Let's see - I got whacked upside the head by a metal pole yesterday, my finger got a litte nick from a clothes hanger that snapped in my hands, my feet have been sore, my hip has been sore, my back has been sore, and could I bring along a friend, the one who ran into the pole that whacked me with the pole?

Nah, not worth my time.
The reason they're in a bookstore oogling drawings of young schoolgirls is because they can't get a girlfriend - because they're too busy oogling fantasy girls.
So it's their loss the girls are going off to college and getting good jobs around here while the guys cling around the library manga section and the local bookshop.

It's just like the awkward time my oldest boy cousin introduced his friend to me, he thought we'd get along just because we both liked DDR.
The guy walked in, nonstop talked about how great DDR is, and then was whipping out his cellphone to play the songs he had recorded onto it, and was like "This one's my top favorite, it's my ringtone" blah blah blah.
I was like "......."
He was maybe over half an hour, he didn't talk about anything else besides DDR, as if I'd be impressed by it.
Then when my cousin took him back home, he said "You didn't seem to like him too much because you were quiet."
So I was like "Yeah, the guy wouldn't shut up about his love of DDR. I like it too, but I don't go on a half-hour lecture and drool over it."

So my cousin never brought his friend back over again, which was perfect with me. emotion_awesome

Though don't get me wrong, I do love DDR, I just got done showing a coworker how to play it at the arcade last month.
But I don't get along with people who are rabid fans of anything.
If you've got something to show me, fine, if I like it, I'll talk about it; but don't tell me you wipe your butt with DBZ toiletpaper, your computer is covered in Tenchi Muyo pictures, you wake up every morning to YuYuHakusho as your alarm, slip on a pair of InuYasha booties and you jam along to Megaman tunes when walking to school...
Rabid fans, I just can't get along with them because they continuously, nonstop talk about how great something is, and that's the only thing they can wrap their head around.
It's like "How's the weather?" and you hear "Oh, that's just like what this one character said on this show, and this person on the other show said this as a most hilarous response."
Usually I just get offended at them and say "That's the only thing you've ever been talking about for the past hour, and I'm not that big of a fan," and if they resume talking about it again, then I just start saying "This is why I never talk" and "No, I'm not going to watch the show or read the books, because I don't care. I hate it. Just hearing it from you makes me hate it."

I'd probably be the person getting chased out of a convention, unless someone puts food in front of me, then I'll be good. emotion_facepalm

Ours was great (while it was there) but usually people shopping there were the reason I was driven away.
So awkward, to be a girl trying to find a book, when there are three guys gawking over schoolgirls right behind you, talking about skirt shots and who they'd like to make out with.

I just went to Fantasy, until I went and struck the Vampire Hunter D and Foreign Language sections when the store began closing.

That was an interesting name, almost a tongue-twister.
I'll have to look up some information on her and her books, although I've never heard of her.
Maybe because when our bookstore used to be around, I would always start in the 'A' section and work my way across and down.
The furthest I ever got was the 'B' section, because Terry Brooks was there.

I like fantasy like Lord of the Rings and whatnot stuff.
You should check out some Terry Brooks books.
There's the Shannara (forget spelling) series, but then he's done other things, like Knight of the Word and Running With the Demon, as well as other random stories like The Tangle Box and The Black Unicorn.
I've been hooked on his books since book one.
I blame my friend, and have regrets for neither one.

I've been going to just check out foreign language books, and that our library has a small section where you can buy books they are trying to get rid of.
I found three giant-sized fantasy books, haven't read them yet (thanks, Gaia.) XD
At original price, one was almost $29, the other two were almost $25 - and I bought them all for $6.00 (at $2.00 per hardback; $1.00 for paperback.)
So I've just been going to see if I could find any foreign language study books that I don't own.
