About
Gold (ゴールド Gōrudo?) is the main protagonist of the Gold/Silver/Crystal arc. Gold began his journey with his trusted Aipom after Silver stole his backpack. Prof. Elm gave him a Cyndaquil so that he could go follow Silver and get the stolen Totodile back.
After realizing that Totodile wants to stay with Silver, Gold decides he will track down Neo Team Rocket instead. After driving Ho-oh and Lugia away from Indigo Plateau, Gold, with the help of the others, battled Pryce.
This is when Gold and Pichu are sucked into the void of time, where Pichu uses its ultimate attack to defeat Pryce. Gold pleaded Red to travel to Mt. Silver to train, where Red promised. Gold later appears in the "Emerald" (Hoenn/Johto) arc with Crystal to save the five petrified 'Dex Holders after they turned into stone.
