my intervew with Rina.
"Hmmm...About me?” said Ginko. Rina just smiled and said, "Yes something about you, Ginko-kun!" Ginko took the cigarette out of his mouth, breathing out smoke as he did this. He took a deep breath thinking of what to say. He looked at the girl; she sat there smiling waiting for him to say something. He took a deep sigh "well..." Rina interrupted him “yes?” "Heh...well I’m a Mushi-shi." ended Ginko. "What’s a Mushi-shi?" asked Rina. “Well,” said Ginko “A Mushi-shi is someone who can see Mushi and can interact with them as well.” “Ok!” said Rina “What’s a Mushi?” Another sigh came from Ginko, as he really did not want to have to explain this to more people.
“Well, I suppose there is no simple way of explaining what they are,” said Ginko “but let me give you an analogy, say your four main fingers are animal life,” Ginko held up her hand and pointed to her index, middle, ring, and pinky finger. She looked at her hand and nodded her head in acknowledgement. “And your thumb represents plant life. Humans would be here, at the tip of your middle finger, the farthest point from your heart.” Rina had a slightly confused look on her face, just trying to soak up all this information. “Moving towards the palm of your hand you would find the lower forms of animal life,” said Ginko “when you get to your wrist though, that’s where your blood vessels combine into one, right?” Rina shook her head as if she just snapped out of a daze “right!” she retorted Ginko just smiled.
Ginko continued and said, “This is where you would find fungi and microorganisms. From here it becomes difficult to tell the differences between plants and animals.” Rina’s eyes widened seeing how the analogy began to make sense. Ginko grabbed Rina’s arm gently pulling back her sleeve, he ran his thumb sideways down her arm continuing by saying, “even so, there is still life past this point.” He reached her elbow, at that point, there was the beginning of the sleeve that he rolled up, and he moved his thumb from the skin of her arm to the sleeve of her shirt. “And if you keep going,” now he was at her shoulder “past your shoulder,” now he was at the middle of her chest, “when you get to this point, at the place where it’s closest to your heart, right here; these creatures are the Mushi.”
He let go of her slowly, she looked at him, she was blushing “o-oh, so those are the Mushi th-thank you, Ginko-kun” “Your welcome.” said Ginko, as he put his cigarette back in his mouth. “So how was that?” “Well…” said Rina “we still don’t know almost anything about you.” Ginko had a defeated look on his face; Rina just giggled and scratched the nape of her neck. Ginko’s luggage box began to rattle, “I got a message.” Ginko searched thought the luggage bow doors until he fond something that resembled an egg wrapped in multiple pieces of paper. Ginko folded over a piece and used a bent metal object to pull out a letter. He read the letter, with a long sigh “Well, I guess they will just have to get to know me on their own.” said Ginko. “I hope so.” Rina said as Ginko got up. “Come back and tell me stories of the Mushi, ok?” He turned around and smiled, and continued out of the door.
