Man, I’m done dreaming, about to put my dreams in action
Time to put my training to the test, I’m done relaxing
Who said I needed permission? I’m not asking
Put my name in lights and my dreams up in captions
I’ma stand tall and march like a captain
This is my chance to go hard and make it happen
To make a reality and enjoy while I’m rapping
So now I can join the game like Madden

There were those that believed, and those that doubted
My mother always said they could’ve changed but I doubt it
Regardless, I hold on to my dreams because without it
I aint nothing but a man in a room that’s crowded
I’m doing my best to keep my mind from being clouded
Lost my resolve a couple times, but I found it
Can’t lose the dreams of the future that I founded
I’ll be held responsible for the dreamers that I counted

Once, I said “the only thing I have is my flow”
Thinking like that, no wonder my life was so narrow
People nowadays treat themselves like pharaohs
They ignore the pain of those in true peril
They brush off intelligence and focus their apparel
Throw each other into the grave with a bullet from the barrel
I prefer a license to drive than hotwiring a Camaro
