True, it's just a "golden doughnut" (as some people say), but it was the very first item Gaia ever offered to people who donated back in 2003. Before it was re-released multiple times, there were less than a hundred of them which existed on the site. So it was considered to be a status symbol if you were one out of the millions of users on the site who had one. That mind-set continues even today, when it has been re-released multiple times due to RIGs, the Cash Shop, etc. The fact that it used as a bartering tool for expensive transactions like Project Tickets should be proof enough of that.

But like I said, I'm not really "rolling in the dough" at you put it.
I enjoy coding profiles because I'm artsy, I like computer stuff, and I've gotten to meet a lot of nice people through the shop c':
How much profit I make off of each client matters very little, and I consider it a blessing that I'm even getting paid.

Actually, I don't really sell graphics. Only profile (CSS) codes.
I make a decent income to keep me comfortable and out of the begging profession, but I wouldn't really consider myself a "wealthy Gaian"
(Don't own any Halos, Wings, '03s, Tickets, etc.) sweatdrop
