Thanks for the review of my story, "The End is Here", in the arena. I really appreciate your comments. I never really thought of it as a serious sci-fi piece, I just wanted it far enough into the future that the reader would be disconnected from it, and on a leap year. That helped people bond to Adam more, since he's such a blank slate. Because of that bond with the character -a familiar entity in an alien environment- the ending would be more shocking. But thanks for pointing that out =P you're probably right.
