I'm Edward Cullen and I am a monster.I was originally born Edward Anthony Masen on June 20, 1901, in Chicago, Illinois. When I was seventeen my family contracted the Spanish flu. I was in worse shape than my parents when we finally received care for the sickness but both, my mother and father, died and the doctor knew that I was soon to follow. Moments before my mother's death she begged our attending Doctor, Carlisle Cullen, to save me at any cost. Little did she know that he was a vampire and that he would save me and damn me, in his own way.
From the moment of my death and newfound existence, Carlisle raised me as his son, instilling in me a morality unusual among vampires. He raised me to survive on animal blood and with the belief that humans are not food.
Since the death of my natural family my family with Carlisle has grown to include Esme, my mother, and my siblings: Alice, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett.
