Hello everyone, I'm Dwarven Vows and I'm cosplaying a female version of Lloyd Irving from the most popular of the "Tales Of" franchise and animated series known as Tales of Symphonia. Tales of Symphonia was in fact the first title from the series I've played after accidentally discovering it in early 05. I've been a devoted fan and cosplayer ever since and here I am now trying to convert you too.

Tales of Symphonia is a 2003 roleplaying videogame for the Nintendo Gamecube in English and PS2 in Japanese. There is now a HD remake for the Nintendo DS, a collectors edition on PS3 which includes the presequel, Tales of Sypmhonia 2: Dawn of the New World, and a remake of the Japanese version in English on Steam.

The game takes place in a fictional world known as, "Sylvarant" and follows protagonist Lloyd Irving who accompanies his childhood friend, Colette Brunel (The Chosen of Regeneration) who is destined to go on an expedition to restore the world's mana. However, they discover that saving Sylvarant would endanger "Tethe'alla," a world they later discover parallel to their own. Not wanting to sacrifice either worlds, they go on an adventure where they must to fight to find a solution to saving both.

Personality: Because lloyd lives in an area that has a peace treaty with the Desians, Lloyd never actually understands how people are suffering at the hands of the organization. This causes him to be rather naive and short-tempered. He tends to make very rash decisions, regardless of what consequences his actions may have, claiming he is doing it for Colette. However, when it all ends wrong, he realizes his mistakes and attempts to repent for them. Under the guide of Kratos, he eventually matures through the journey, having witnessed people truly suffer. When he understands that people have to be sacrificed everywhere for the sake of others, Lloyd decides to stop "clinging to the Chosen", as Kratos describes it, and fight with his own strength and new ideals. What he wants is a world without sacrifices. Lloyd uses skill and logic to make up for what he lacks in knowledge, which is often a joke throughout the series as he fails to answer various educational questions. He is generally idealistic, and tries to do what he believes is best for the worlds of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla.

Fighting Style: Lloyd focuses on dealing melee physical damage, with concentrations in speed and combo building. Attacks such as Sonic Thrust and Sword Rain reflect his faster movements during battle, while sacrificing his damage output and durability. Like most swordsmen from the Tales series franchise, his only ranged capabilities involve artes such as Demon Fang and other related artes.
