okay, so i saw your post in the vegan/vegetarian guild forums about peta. and honestly, i agree. PETA has it's good points, but they want to set pets' free. if the animals are dependent on us (which they are now, we made them.) why let them go and almost certainly cost them their lives? and i had no idea about the whole kill thing. i volunteer at an animal shelter (very small for most, though every year i save up stuff from their wishlist and donate it in masse on xmas.), and they never kill animals that dont get adopted. there's a cat that's been there for 4 years (it's old and has some minor health problems.), but no one wants it b/c everyone wants kittens. and i can't adopt the cat myself b/c a)im not old enough to on my own b)my mom would not do it, or my dad. c) my sister is allergic to cats d)my dad is already against me being a lacto-ovo-vegan. :[
