A drop of death
Let it drip into the well,
The well of death, the well of hell,
The well of hearts that love has failed,
The well of hate where tears now dwell,
Now my love be much denied,
Is in the well of hearts demise,
Can it be my heart is gone,
I cannot sing without love’s song,
I’ll drag my heart from shackled chains,
And pull away from deaths strong reins,
I’ll put it back into my chest,
And hope that love shall soon caress,
My heart, now in my lonely breast.
Burn-- 5/10/09
As it burns, the ashes fly,
The trees scream, the skies cry,
The nights shade, becomes a haze,
What was ablaze, has burned away,
The cinders spark, and cough a sigh,
Exhaling smoke, now floating high,
The sky’s tears, erase the sears,
That death’s scythe, cut into life.
As dawn arrives, a new day begins
With perfect grace, without a sin,
No trace is left, of what happened,
But when dawn walks off,
The dark comes again.
Your Beautiful Face 3/17/09
I’ve tried to draw your pretty face everyday and night,
But every night I try and fail, I just cant get it right,
There’s something about you, something rare,
Unique if I might add,
That I can seem to recreate,
It makes me kind of sad.
Maybe it’s your luscious lips,
That I sometimes feel the urge to kiss,
Or maybe it’s your pretty smile,
That just to see makes life worthwhile.
Well sooner or later I’ll find out,
And when I do, without a doubt,
I’ll recreate your beautiful face,
And put it in my safest place.
Come into my mind, my world that’s within,
At one time it was filled with sin,
But look at it now, it’s clean and clear,
But now sometimes it’s filled with fear,
A fear uncontrollable, and self-defined,
It wraps around me tight, puts me in a bind,
Turns off the lights, and leaves me to die,
But I won’t go out without a fight,
I open up my heart it sheds some light,
I open up my soul, and the light burns bright,
It saved me from the uncontrollable fear,
it may come back, but I’ll persevere.
Ode To The Man Upstairs
Ode to you, man upstairs,
You’re the only one who really cares,
You’ve been there for me, through thick and thin,
And I know you’ll be there to the very end,
You have a plan for all of us, I know that that much is true,
So when my life hits some bumps, I know that you’ll come through,
Dressed in white from the heavenly heights you come to accompany me,
To protect me from the demons and things that come to conquer me,
In the dark, you stay with me, and smite the things I can’t see,
Thank you lord for helping me, you’re the one and only heavenly king.
Growing Pains
My love for you has only grown,
Ever since you and him were long gone,
I wish that I could get you back,
Its like he gave you a heart attack,
We used to be so close but now so far,
I hope that we’ll soon be closer than we are,
I know you may not want a boyfriend,
But my love for you has only deepened.
I wish only one chance to be with thee,
And live and we can live our lives peacefully.
Ode to her
Ode to the girl with the light blonde hair,
For her my love has always been there,
Even if she did not really care,
All that I can ever do is sit and stare,
For her beauty you can’t compare,
To anyone, anywhere,
But now I begin to realize,
Her love is always here.
Exiled to the Sky
I fly way high up in the sky,
Soaring above the clouds in sight,
Remembering what they said that night,
I flew lower through the clouds to the ocean’s light,
I felt a pang of anguish,
As I remembered why,
I was exiled from earth and now forced to fly,
If I touch the ground I’ll surely die,
So I flew low so the glue on my wings would survive.
With no exultation, I continued my flight,
While drinking some Sunny Delight.
